I think it would be cool to turn it into a headshot server.

Tek (i think) already posted that there are no "headshot" mods for CZ, it's only on CS 1.6. Anyone up to learning how to program?

Even though there isn't a headshot mod for CZ there are definantly headshot only maps. I dont know how many there are but if you look on server list there are some... we just wouldnt be able to play all the maps we normally would but we could still play headshot only.

Actually, I believe there is a way to put "headshot mode" on, which is different from a headshot mod.

This might be a plugin for AMX or something.. I'm not sure, just throwing that out there, there are tons of plugins for AMX.

ive never played in one and it would probably help alot of peoples aim if we got one.

i'm gonna object to this. not too be a buzzkill or anything but remember we thought the deathmatch server was goin to be a great idea? that didnt turn out so well. pretty much the same thing with the WC3 server. the surf server doesnt seem like a bad idea. im sure their will always be at least one person on it practicing.

Theres is no reason we cant do both, if we are gunna get a new server we may as well try it on everything and then hold a poll at the end of the week. This is more a general statment than somthing about a headshot server, but i think that we could try all the ideas.

I never thought deathmatch or wc3 would be a success, mainly because they suck.

However, I think a hs server would be beneficial to n00bs.

A surf server sounds okay too, i guess.

If you play it they will come. Nobody likes going into empty servers. Case in point I'm running the n00bfest Source server which is a deathmatch box with 4 BOT's. Just from looking at the logs, once one person shows up, within 5 min I have enough people playing sometimes to oust the BOT's. The sad part is I've only seen one maybe two n00b's that have shown up to play. But yet since 12/31 over 2000 people have played, and now have a bunch of regulars.

We made a post about this elsewheres. I think a HS server would be awesome. Not sure about the AMX mod coming from a stranger... but it could be worth it if someone who knew coding looked it over. :roll:

We tried the DM server, remember? No one played on it. Ever. And the Elite2 is actually pretty cool. With the exception of awp_monopoly.

does anyone even play in the 'n00b only' server?? every time i refresh my servers page, there's no one in there, or there's like one or two people in there.

Usually there's more n00bs on in the evening or late at night, and they'll be in the regular Elite and be all like "Hey everybody, Let's all go to the private server!" and some idiot will go "What's the password?????//" and we'll tell them through admin commands and everyone will go to the private. So usually, you have to be in the regular Elite and get everyone to go to the private.

hmmm....yeah...i wanna check it out sometime...but there's no one ever in it when i'm looking. lol. oh well....
