Now before you all say "HELLS NO!!!!111oneonetwothree", consider taht we have just upgraded to 1.6, where the awp has been nerfed. Though it is still powerful, it is not as accurate. So I think we should reconsider the slap on it. At least try it without the slap.

I put no because these servers have always been this way. And yes, it has been 'nerfed', but holding the awp usually makes people into campers, or in this case, the sniper. As Corpse said one time, the slap is there so there will be and equal advantage between the sniper and the brave soul. If there is an AWPer hiding somewhere, it will be hard to jump in front of it to shoot the guy and kill him before he kills you. Now that the AWPer has 20hp, you can have more of a chance or you can suprise him with a gernade up his glutious maximus. And plus, there is a better reward for surviving the round with the AWP: the next round you will have 100hp again. Then again, I rarely use the awp, and I know that when I want to use it, there is a price to pay.

I like the way it is now, and then there is the problem with auto-shotties and auto-snipers that can get annoying. But I can live with it.

Actually, I was thinking about extending the punishment to the scout too, because it's stronger now. Any hits from the chest-up and you're dead in one shot like an AWP.

No, dont extend it to the scout. The game is designed to be played with all weapons avalible, if something changes that changes your tactics, you need to change along with it, not try to keep things the way you like them. The scout sucks to begin with anyway.

the only sniper i use is the scout and i hardly ever use that too.

scout plays the same way it does as in 1.5, get a hs, you win, dont, you lose... leave it as it is... Auto-snipers are way different... super accurate now.... i have no idea about those.... i do better with the 1.6 awp, i dont know why, but ask kev, im good with it, leave the penalty, if there is an accuracy nerf, then it isnt significant enough for taking down the penalty... the SHIELD on the other hand... lets see.. the only buff the t's have recieved to counter the shield is the autosniper... yet ct's have a weaker version. yet its still buffed from 1.6... shield should have a slap.... sure, im awesome at killing shielders but still it gets on my nerves...

The sheild seems to make people live longer, but not necessarily win.

Use the shield and you die tired anyway.

Although,... when you can kill someone and you have a shield slowing you down, it's even better than a knife kill.

Shields are funny.

From both the Terrorist and CT point-of-view, don't have a penalty on the sheild, and the scout I am now skeptical about it. But just like Link said, leave it be.

shileds are over kill in 1.6. they cover the entire body. Shields in Cz dont cover the entire body which is more realistic. I'm sorry but if your running, you can at least be hit in the foot or the shin.
If shileds covering the entire body are necessy, at least they would be more tolerable in 1.6 if they slowed your speed by half. Carrying that muuch armor would definately slow your ass down.

Getting a kill with it now and then does not mean own. If you owned with it you would use it all the time, believe me.
