 STEAM WILL CHARGE A MONTHLY COST, ROMOUR OR NOT? I AM HEARING MANY DIFFERENT THINGS ABOUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN, ALL I KNOW IS THAT THIS IS BAD FOR ME BCUZ MY COMPUTER SUX TO BAD TO HOLD THE GRAPHICS OF 1.6 AND I DONT WANT TO PAY A MONTHLY FEE TO USE SOMETHIN THAT SHOULDVE BEEN INCLUDED WHEN I BOUGHT COUNTER-STRIKE. IF I KNEW COUNTER-STRIKE WAS GONNA BE SOLD IN PEICES THEN I WOULDVE CHOSE ANOTHER GAME BUT NOW THAT I AM HOOKED ON CS I WILL PROBABLY END UP PAYEN FOR STEAM, I KNOW MOST OF U FEEL THIS WAY SO IM JUST LETTIN U KNOW DONT FEEL BAD I FEEL UR PAIN.. :cry:

hell F*CKING no... and if you just jinxed this with this thread then ima set fire to you and to the big building all the people from steam work at.... they wont charge monthly for 1.6.... i dont know about cs2... and if you computer works on 1.5 and not 1.6 gimme your specs... ive heard alot of people saying this and im sure half of em are fking idiots..i just wanna make sure you arent... there are settings you can change as well, and low lag models you can install too

If you comp cant handle 1.6 then i will have to say...
YOU ARE FUCKED,
CS Source is more graphic intensive than 1.6 could ever be. The swap to 1.6 and steam is to get everyone ready for counter-strike source when it is released on spet 2nd, dont quote me on that. when source is release all 1.6 servers will be phased out over a peroid of time.
I personally just upgraded my comp. for what reason you ask...

Ive heard that 1.6 isnt that great just better graphics is all ive heard so will see what 1.6 is and hell no i would never pay a monthly fee please i have better things to spend my money on.

Steam is entirely free. When you install it just double click on the Counter-Strike on your games list, and input your cd key. Then steam will auto-update your CS to 1.6. Steam is really simple folks. The only thing you might have to pay for on steam is CZ, which you jews should get anyway.
