Slayer is amazing live, but for the sake of THIS thread I'll post the one Stripes song I learned on guitar
Now there's a nice post :D ha! But yeah, Slayer is amazing live, once they performed at Mayhem 2009,the show was over, who needs Marilyn Manson???? :P
The first time I saw Marilyn Manson was on his Lest We Forget tour (The Avalon, Boston, nice small venue where I stood right at the edge of the stage and watched a guy and a girl get in a fist-fight over a towel he rubbed his nuts on and asked to have back after dropping), he was F*CKING amazing.
I watched The entire main-stage act at Mayhem 2009 (Killswitch and Slayer weren't bad) everyone, including Manson, sucked balls - Manson seemed to come down from the ridiculous amount of intoxication he was experiencing mid-way and was fine but that doesn't make up for being so bad the first half that a large percentage of the audience leaves). Here's hoping the accompanying tour for the album he's releasing next month isn't nearly as bad as Mayhem 2009.
It's hopefully gonna rock because Kerry King worked on it.

Re: R.I.P. The White Stripes
I saw slayer with mastadon a long time ago.....my hearing has never been the same. The slayer roadies decided there wasnt enough speakers. I was 2 feet away from them and the drums were loud enough to make my heart skip and nearly kill me (no but damn that wouldve been cool to pass away in the middle of the show).

I retired just for this reason.
Nothing is louder than a Ted Nugent concert. I have seen just about everything Metal that has come within 4 hours of me. Ted blows it all away.
