As the titles of the videos go, the complexity of technique goes up with each video.

I really want to learn bass but Ill never have the pinky control you guys or this guy have. Im sadly double jointed in both of them and they pop out of the socket just from natural movement making them F*CKING useless and nowhere near smooth enough for this. I almost want to pull a jerry garcia and F*CKING lose them (I know it wasnt his pinky but I wouldnt mind not having them).

Holy F*CK this guy's got groove. Reminds me of Wooten. I bet he takes a ton of influence from him. Take influence from Wooten, that is...

I have the same issue with my left pinky and thumb. I'm left-handed but I was told I had to learn guitar right-handed and so I use the left hand on the fretboard. I actually use that pinky because if I try using my ring-finger I have to move my hand into awkward positions except when I'm doing scales in which case I alternate between the pinky and ring finger. I do nearly all barre chords with the pinky though.

I don't have the same issue with my right hand so it's easier to finger-pick than it would be if I had learned to play left-handed guitar.

I like bass better but currently am using a guitar.

If you can learn fingerstyle in the classical style (thumb playing the lowest 3 strings and the index, middle and ring playing the last 3, which are the highest) in the hand you're not used to, I give you mad props. I wish I was good at fingerstyle...

I can do it but I'm not down with the articulation as much as I'd like. I mostly just use my thumb and pinky and then use all of my fingers to strum with 'flemenco power chords' is how I put it. I'll do a video for you, it's not gonna be amazing but I'm not the worst guitarist definitely not the best.
