I have read the revews on all the hardware that i plan on buyin and i just wanted to know if im buyin worthless pieces of shit. I got 500$ YA, i know it aint much but its all i got.
First thing, i was wonderin if this video card can handle Source. People say that it plays doom3 on high settings...sum people say they play UT2k4 on 800x600 on midium settings..THERE A BIG F*CKIN DIFFERENCE and i have no clue on wich one is acurate.
http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product. ... 6814150059
If not, would ya recamend one that is in that price range
Second thing, I was wonderin if i should go with a Celeron D 2.93Ghz or a Low end Pentium 4 like a 2.4Ghz. I have no F*CKIN clue what overclockin is or how to do it. SO Would ya tell me witch one would be the best for gamin.
Third thing, ACCESORIES. what kinds of things do i need to buy extra. I know there alot but i just need the basics. WHAT THE FUCKS A HEATSINK, do i need to get one? and all those things that cool down your pc.
IMa also get the ASUS P4P800SE Socket 478 Intel 865PE mobo. If anyone knows reason why i shouldnt get this LET ME F*CKIN KNOW DAMNIT!I dont wana end up the THE DUDE and buy ten of these things
THANX..I know im askin alot but im a F*CKIN n00b and need help. PEACE

If you don't know what you're doing, then you'd better not build a computer or even try. At your age, you're best off just saving up and buying a pre-made one with a warranty.
You'll end up screwing something up and either not being able to figure out what's wrong, or not being able to afford to replace it.
Save that $500 and wait until your birthday/christmas or something and beg the shit out of your parents.

I would have to agree with oreX on this one. Get cracking on the yard work in your neighborhood.
This is your best bet.

For gaming amd cant be matched right now, atleast in your price range. The sempron i recomended will beat the crap out of most pentium 4's much less a celery. The sempron socket 754 is a a64 with a little less cache its still a very fast cpu. With stock heatsink and fan you can probably overclock that cpu from 1.8 to about 2.2.If this were my first build i would stick with antec as far as cases go....there just so user friendly. As far as the 9800 pro goes just make sure you get a 256 bit card. This is not to be confused with ram, this is the speed of the gpu, there are cheap 128 bit versions of the 9800 pro. These cards are poor performers. Here's some benchmarks of the sempron against a celery http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/2004072 ... on-08.html

Hippie, I checked with my friends today and it looks like none of them can find your hookup. So, I apologize.

There is something that can match AMD, but it will just cost you a testicale at the moment.
The new Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 4.73 Gig at 1066 FSB is smashing the crap out of all the AMD 64 scores. Well worth it if you want to blow over a grande.

Don't look to buy a monitor over the internet. The shipping would kill you. Go to a used computer store in your area and pick up a nice 17" dell monitor for like $50-$80.
