As I was at work today, I thought.... I need some new bands to listen to. I am really interested to hear some new and upcoming bands. I really want to get to know some of the smaller bands out there that do not have a name for themselves yet and I figured this would be a great time to share some. I like all kinds of music if it is done well. Yes I know that can be debatable. I myself am particular to metal. Mostly progressive and death metal. This first band is actually my old roommates band. Last Breath Before the Fall. They are from Columbus, OH and they have a progressive/hardcore feel. Be sure to listen to all of A.D. (No, I'm not trying to sell my buddy's band. I actually really enjoy listening to them)

My next band is actually one guy. He goes by the name of Grieves and is kind of indie hip-hop/rap. I love what he raps about. I hate all the shit on the radio that talks about cars, money, and bitches. Scar Gardens is a must listen.

I picked up the albums Starve for the Devil and We are Nightmare by Arsis the other day and they're really good if you like melodic death metal i would highly recommend these albums.

Yes i do but he hasnt recorded anything with them yet. He took over for John Kempainen when John left the band.

What about Deflorate? I thought he recorded that with them?
