Your delusion would make you think so yes, but you just used red herrings and misdirection to avoid actually answering any of the issues I raised.

Wow, I missed a hell of a ride.
Back on track, here. The guy in the video is a douche. People who open carry AR15 tactigats are douchebags. At least this guy isn't like those faggots that went into starbucks scaring the shit out of random people to flaunt their 2A rights. I strongly support the second amendment, but I also believe that gun owners need to be responsible... and _appear_ responsible. While an individual may very well be highly trained in the safe use of firearms, random strangers on the street don't know that. They see some jackass fingerbanging a slung rifle in a starbucks, they're going to think he's crazy. Then they're going to make that assumption about most gun owners. That's the worst F*CKING publicity ever. It's just like these jackasses that record themselves getting stopped for open carrying and put it on youtube. "AM I UNDER ARREST? AM I UNDER ARREST? OMG 2A AND 4A CIRCLEJERK! AM I UNDER ARREST? DC VS HELLER. LOLOL." F*CK those guys too.
Want to do something for gun rights? Vote. Take someone shooting. Donate to the evil lobbyists like the NRA and other similar-minded groups. Don't F*CKING open carry and make people like me look like F*CKING idiots.

I mean, if you're a police officer and you see some dude walking down the road with a F*CKING high powered assault rifle, what is your first instinct? The man in the video said he had no idea who the police officer was, that he could be some rogue cop. How does the police officer know anything about him? How can he know anything about him other than he has a highly dangerous weapon on him in public. What is more likely to be dangerous on first glance? A police officer, or a random dude walking down the street with a rifle. If you have calls of people terrified because someone just walked infront of their house with an ar15 then you have more to worry about then one persons right to carry, and police officer's utmost job is to ensure the safety of their community.

Don't F*CKING open carry and make people like me look like F*CKING idiots. True story. As usual, Gman is correct. People open carrying to make a statement aren't really helping anything. My gripe is that I think it's a real shame how emotionally reactive people are at the mere sight of a gun. They see a gun and it's, "OMFG A GUN!" FREAK OUT MODE TIME! I think it's a symptom of the Pussification of America and a sign of how brainwashed people are by the media who over-covers news about shootings, so people have a skewed perception of the frequency of gun violence. Let's see the mainstream media cover a story about someone using a gun for defense for a change. But, they don't because it doesn't bring in as much ratings and it doesn't fit their agenda.

Chris Hanson wrote: high powered assault rifle You mean a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle? There's nothing "high powered" about 5.56mm. It's an intermediate cartridge. Not a "high powered" one. And it's not an assault rifle. Assault rifles are fully-automatic (select fire). His rifle is/was not. Everyone, please stop calling AR15's assault rifles. It makes you look dumb. Oh, and before someone says "zomg AR-15 = assault rifle 15" let me clear that up. AR stands for Armalite Rifle. A man named Eugene Stoner, who worked for Armalite at the time, designed the AR-15 platform. After its inception, there was the M16, which is select-fire (full auto capable). The M16 is an assault rifle. The AR15 you can buy off the shelf at wal-mart looks like one, but it is _not_ an assault rifle.

"High powered assault rifle?" Are you aware that an AR-15 that shoots a .223/5.56mm is actually much, much weaker than just your old fashioned, basic deer hunting rifle? "highly dangerous weapon on him in public" How is an AR-15 somehow more dangerous than any other firearm? All firearms are inherently "dangerous", just like cars are inherently "dangerous" because anything that moves at high velocity and has mass can cause damage. Isn't a pistol just as dangerous? I have a permit to carry concealed pistol, IN PUBLIC. I am also just some guy who the cops know nothing about who is carrying a "highly dangerous weapon on him in public."

Re: If anyone remembers me posting this before...
Okay, so my understanding of what the definition of an assault rifle and what an AR15 or whatever gun this dude was carrying is not very good, but you dont need to understand the gun itself to understand its dangerous. If some dude walked past my house with a gun that looks like that I'm going to be seriously concerned especially if he's a complete stranger. When someone's walking by with a gun clearly shown my first instinct isnt "Oh, he's probably really safe and knowledgable on guns". My first instinct is yo this nigga may be crazy. It's not a pussification of america and its not a brainwashing of media that's causing it, its a natural reaction to seeing a highly dangerous weapon in the hands of a complete stranger you know nothing of or his motives. I would be just as alarmed as someone carrying a handgun, due to their concealment they can be much more dangerous but they don't send the same message as a rifle in my opinion. You're not a pu$$y if you think strangers carrying firearms in public is alarming or of concern, you're just being logical and respecting how dangerous they can be.
Stoner you keep ignoring the points im making about having firearms in public and making it about owning firearms at all. This is the last time im going to clarify this for you because you STILL haven't grasped it. I'm not arguing against owning firearms of almost any kind, including permits like yours to carry conceal weaponry. My beef is with people who walk around public areas with ANY firearm clearly displayed, and people ILLEGALLY owning firearms.

How are you going to know if it's someone who just has one "because it's their Constitutional right" or someone who wants to use it on as many people as they can find? How the F*CK are you going know?

I think we all mostly agree here: - The guy in the video is a douche. - Guns are awesome. - People who open-carry are typically douchebags. - Handjob is a douche. - Stoner is a douche. - I win. K?
