Post Re: Gun shop
Have you picked the sigma up yet? I considered buying one because of the price a few years ago as well. Then I picked it up...the slide felt cheap, light weight, and almost flimsy(for comparision go pick up a Glock or M&P40)

Its way too early in the morning for me to properly use google, but look at the effects on sigmas of long term use and overheating. I think I remember they had that problem...

In that same price point go get a Ruger or a Taurus. Both decent guns with proven track records

Just my 2cents

Here's your hard evidence...Buy your cheap POS Sigma and you will soon find out that you were sorely mistaken and should've listened. Why should you listen to me? In 2009 6 months before that gun eneded up where it should have (in the dumpster) I owned one. The exact one you are thinking of buying (S&W Sigma SW9VE) except I spent about twice as much as you are going to, which means I was twice as pissed off. Traded it, 6 boxes of ammo included for on ounce of weed.

So what about the sd9ve? They've dropped the sigma title but its still similar in cost and modeled as a poor mans glock

If your looking for something really cheap try and find a star interarms bm9,i had one of those and that was best shooting gun i ever owned. It was well built and looked sweet,i think i paid 250-300 for it.One of the few guns i really regret trading.I have no idea what one goes for nowadays but star was always a lower end brand.

The thing about guns is...you actually get what you pay for. You should save and invest into something customizable/moddable that you can make your own and that you can actually be proud of and show off to your friends.

Here's a list of my favs in no particular order (there are many guns better, these are just my PERSONAL favs:
Kahr K9 (USA)
Taurus PT 911 PT 940 PT 945 pistols (Brazil)
Fabrique Nationale (FN) Five-seveN (Belgium)
Fabrique Nationale (FN) Fourty-Nine (Belgium)
FEG AP-63 / PA-63 pistol (Hungary) My 1st Concealed carry weapon I bought (PA-63), It was light, field stripped was easiest I've ever seen and never jammed. Even after 5+ 20rnd boxes straight of Brown Bear 9mm
Zamorana pistol (Venezuela)
Heckler&Koch USP pistols (Germany) - HK USP Compact .45ACP.
Heckler Koch HK 45 pistol (Germany) - HK 45 pistol
Walther P-5 (Germany) - Walther P5 Compact IMO a GREAT everyday concealed carrier
Arcus 94 and 98 DA (Bulgaria) one of my favorites, love it.

Buying the beretta px4 storm full size

I have to put it in layaway because my current address doesn't match my drivers license
It's $40 off and 5% off ammo with purchase of a firearm. I really enjoyed this weapon and can't wait to shoot it again.

You won't be disappointed when compared to the SD or Sigma.

I'm not a personal fan of the barrel / ejection of the storms but some guys love them. You did good. Hurry and change yer address and go blow some shit up, if you can afford the ammo.

Much much better choice. I've heard great things about the Storm. It's sure as HELL beats the damn Sigma. What caliber is it (the Storm, that is)?

This is a 9mm. When I went to the shop beretta was there and they let you put 5 rounds through all berettas for free. I felt that the rotating barrel and ejection style provided much cleaner recoil. I also felt that it was more accurate than the glock. After making the choice i saw a video of a father/son compare the G17 to the storm at 100 yards and put 6 with the glock and 16 with the storm. So I felt pretty confident with my decision. The external safety makes me a bit more comfortable too.
