 Re: CSS memory read error
Hmm, never seen that problem before.
If you're overclocked I'd run everything back to stock settings. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the game. If that doesn't work, reformat. If THAT doesn't work, it's definitely your power supply. luls
Any way you could get a screenshot of the error message?

 Re: CSS memory read error
Before going with reinstall run some memory testing. The basic one is disabling in BIOS (UEFI) quick memory test. Then try running http://www.memtest.org/ or http://www.memtest86.com/ or something-else.

 Re: CSS memory read error
I have actually had this problem before. Granted it was probably 4 years ago, but still...
First off, other than CSS saying you have a memory error, does anything else on your computer i.e. other games; videos; ect give you any memory errors? I ask because when I use to get that message it ended up being a video card problem, not a memory stick problem.
try running windows updates incase your missing something, then go the the manufacturer's website for the video card you have and update your drivers.
then, I dont remember what their called exactly, but there are codes that look like '-s' that you can put in somewhere on steam and it wont load certain things when you launch CS. try looking into those
if all that doesnt work its defiantly your power supply

If the memory is underpowered, sometime bits can flip from a 1 to a 0 and that'll cause errors. Just run memtest for a few hours to see if they errors show up.

 Re: CSS memory read error
It was likely either memory, the memory slots, or the memory controller (if your cpu doesn't have an on-die controller).

 Re: CSS memory read error
yeah i think it was either my motherboard or memory slots cuz i took the memory out of my computer and moved it to this one or possibly powersupply
