Lol will win. Why? Because it's a highly addictive game that is free to play.

LoL was fun for a month until all the kiddies got too it...give me DotA any day...and free to play? You pay $20 for DotA 2 and that's it no add ons, how much have you paid for new skins over the months you've played LoL? I bet more then $20 ;)

I've never paid for skins and I get just as much enjoyment out of the game than the next guy. To say that LoL is somehow going to lose popularity or favor because of another DoTA coming out is simply preposterous. Its a powerhouse.

You're all in for a rude awakening lol. I know half of you don't like HoN for it's mechanics and hero structure and creep denying mechanic, wait until you try dota hahaha

Definitely grabbing it - I had my Dota run and have been waiting for this. I don't like LoL's structure of having to buy the damn heroes, just pick 'em and go. You build skill by playing with the heroes and learning how to play them/build them, not grinding your ass off. The game won't be much different I don't think, it's mostly an interface overhaul (which is great - needs better matchmaking/ability to party with friends)

Dota seems more like you get a upper hand if you gank rather than lol all the tournys people just creep farm and maybe get 10 kills total a team. Can't wait for dota 2, can't get in the beta because I have no idea where my security code for steam online is >.<

Its funny because the original DotA was a Warcraft 3 Mod obviously made by Blizzard, DotA 2 is made by Valve, even though Blizzard is currently reworking their own DotA 2 game as we speak...confusing...

Actually, I'm pretty sure wasn't made by Blizzard, it was someone before Guinsoo when he took over it for TFT tho.
