While server changes and stuff are being made, I think you should look into no block mod. With a pub server hallways get kinda crowded...just a suggestion

it makes it so that models act as if they were transparent but they're still completely there. I've also looked into hitbox changes that the mod might cause and the only problem is if people are charging at each other knifing and you swing a little late you'll run right through each other. 90% of surf servers use the mod cuz nubs always get stuck on ramps and slow us good surfers down.

Only problem I can see with this is more accidental tk'ing and a possible loss of server performance. JMO

Bullets can pass through teammates, which is only if FF is disabled of course. it doesnt require any extra work from the server either. It's just modifying the models the server uses.

it sucks for knifing but if you do make sure FF=OFF or else ur gonna end up inside a team mate not notice shoot and just end up shooting the inside of your team mate

Can't the mod be rigged only to be enabled for the first 10 seconds of the map? Most of the congestion occurs when people are slow buying their weapons.

i think it can be set to only allow you to walk through your teammates too.

That's a good idea. Jet's right, most of the blocking occurs in the beginning of round. It's like an obstacle course trying to get past the people who are still buying weapons/AFK.

If anything, only for the first 10 seconds it should be enabled... any more and it severely affects game play...

honestly, two servers i play on just as much as noobfest have noblock and it doesn't really affect gameplay. you still play the same, people aren't going to just walk through you for the hell of it. it just makes it easier to snapshoot so you don't get stuck on people sitting on the corner. i hate strafing back to cover and stopping out of nowhere cuz a teammate is just sitting there and then getting killed... not cool.

the problem with having noblock for only 10 secs is that players can get stuck together when noblock turns off. also, i know this can be set so you run through teammates but not opponents. however, noblock cannot be added if eventscripts isn't on the server already.

and there is always the possibility that adding eventscripts and/or noblock could cause server performance issues, especially since we already have performance issues with a full server.
