The other day an American show on Fox News that talks about world news with a panel of hosts took some shots at the Canadian Military. Now taking a few shots is one thing, we have a good sense of humour up here but the host in my opinion crossed the line.

The guy made fun of the huge effort that Canada has taken on solo in Afganistan, a war that was not ours but felt compelled to help in. Later on in the day the comments were made 4 Canadian soldiers lost there lives to a road side bomb and the familes of these men had to wake up to hear these hurtful and nasty comments made out pure ignorance.

I don't want to sound all Anti-American cause I have a lot of American friends and family there and a few n00bs here I like calling friends but What The F*CK is Wrong with some of the People in America? We are your closest ally and your media goes after our efforts with such distain, a lot of Canadians right now are asking why are we helping if this what our effort gets! We are probably going back to the polls in a year and this very well could be a major topic of discussion leading Canada to stop all aid on the war on terror earlier then it's 2011 date to withdraw. I don't mean to rant but I just needed to get this out, I mean do a lot of Americans feel this way? What are Canadians supposed to feel of there nieghbors to the south?

BTW, what exactly did they say against the Candian troops? All I saw mentioned was that some died by a roadside bomb and I'm not sure what the issue is there. I'm at work so I can't look up the video, but I'll probably do that when I get home.

I do have to say though, that this isn't America's war. Many countries are trying to hide behind America when it comes to Afghanistan and even Iraq, but the effort is to benefit everyone.

CNN is worse. AM radio is where it's at, but the democrats are trying phase that out, so unbiased and republican radio are gone. It's their ploy to stop the communication of those parties and keep their biased views.

I hope these people have to come together on air and apologize and devote an entire show reporting on how the Canadian military has served in Afghanistan and acknowledge the loss of their 116 soldiers.

I don't put too much stock in any news source, or most people for that matter, because it is very apparent that news agencies are unable to keep an impartial view for one reason or another. That being said I find myself watching CNN more than any other news network and I can't stand Fox News.

This show is on at 3am in the morning and is supposed to take a satirical look on popular news stories. However, IMO, I find it rather distasteful and insulting to call into question another countries military force and commitment. What's even more annoying is that the people on the show probably have never served in the military and therefore to call into question someone else's commitment is infuriating to me.

To me I feel that there is an overwhelming majority of US Citizens that live in a bubble that shields them from the harsh realities of how the world really works and this bubble causes an air of arrogance and a condescending view on the rest of the world.

I never support the media.
