I know what poi is and its pretty cool, i suck though.

I commented on your trip to Ultra because I thought about going but that was about 9 years ago. It was not an insinuation about you being a stereo-typical interweb shit-talker.

The thing that kept me out of the scene were all the druggies and the retarded auras that surround such people.

The people I know who participated in such activities on a very frequent level usually had a pretty messed up personal life and nothing really changed after all the drugs except their life got shittier and usually they did not have a very successful professional life either.

It all depends and who and what type of drugs you surround yourself with. As far as addiction, the only one I have is cigs. Almost everyone knows someone who struggles with drug addiction. It's pretty sad. I completely believe in self medication, whether it be alcohol, weed,or a pain pill here and there but anything more than that is never worth it.

Self-medication is not very wise even for those who are experts in the field. Either the person spirals downward and hits rock bottom or they string themselves along a mind-numbing path of existence and very rarely find happiness and satisfaction with one self. Seeking the advice of professionals is the most intelligent and quickest way to overcome serious problems.
