Most of what you say was true many years ago.The only thing that holds water now is that pc gamers cling to games for a much longer period of time.

you talk about frames and resolution but you forget the added effects for pc such as AA and AF and GL that your xbox cant handel at high levels....


Call of duty gets 60 frames if i have AA and AF set at 2x which the xbox runs but i can jack mine up to 16x and take a hit in frames this is true but nothing a little swap of a video card couldnt fix.

Also can you download warez / create a video and upload it to youtube, check email, download full versions of games for free, download music for free, download porn for free, create documents or websites pay your bills , check your bank accounts, copy dvd movies even blue ray movies, let you share media, files, ideas, start a business, hell even CREAT YOUR OWN VIDEO GAME or look up the definition of prepubescent douche bags ( BTW xbox live is nothing but them) with your xbox? Also PC gaming develops a comrotery between fellow gamers such as n00bfest and many other places like it.

Lemme ask you this... before you started pc gaming did you know shit about computers? the majority did not and it has helped develope skills that can be used in the work place. Has the xbox done any of these things?

EDIT #2: This reminds me of when i was about 6 or 7.. My dad bought me an Atari for xmas and my uncle told him about a computer called the colleco adam. he came and told me he was going to take the Atari back and bring me a computer my uncle copied about 100 games onto cassettes for me and gave me a word processor and a copy of SMART BASIC.... kinda looks like the same thing today.

You can get your kid an xbox that will entertain him and do pretty much nothing else or get him a computer and entertain him and also provide him with a learning tool that is far more powerfull than an xbox 360 or in my case an atari... Thanks Dad and Uncle J.R for giving me the best of both worlds.

Diablo 3 will definitely have a bigger fanbase on PC then on console and WILL outsell the console version. The thing about console is they cannot be upgraded, however a PC is constantly being upgraded, and will always outperform a console and run a game smoother.

i dont know. with xbox live and playstation network, i dont think thats the case anymore. i mean look at rockband. patch on demand.

Consoles are not as multi-functional as a computer. Consoles are for games, videoes/movies, music?. Computers can be used for games, videos/movies, work, education, and pron. You can't beat that, not ever.

Like I said before consoles are computers specifically built to play games. They are starting to offer other things like movies and web surfing but its still a limited computer. The price of building a computer has dropped rapidly over the years and for some reason the price of consoles keeps increasing. If these trends continue it would be only natural for consoles to disappear due to price.
