I play SF2 Hd and there's nothing wrong with the d pad.And halo does not suck yes it was made for pc but hey microsoft needed a killer app for its new system so they robbed it and it was great.

CoD 4 and WaW are better to me on the 360 because i get hi rez gfx at a steady 60 frames and almost no hackers.Sure there are people with mod controllers that wield a pistol like its a machine gun but they can still be beaten.I have never been beat by anyone that i would call a hacker.

Pc gaming is dead and Microsoft killed it so if your a gamer go out and get a box or a ps3 or just stfu and play the 2-3 average games a year for pc.And for anyone that doesn't think pc gaming is dead just run out to your local gamestop or wal-mart and check out the pc gaming section.Its gonna be hard to spot because its only home to 25 or so games.And 20 of those are 5 years old and suck my butt.

PS3 does that, and a good PC can get even more frames.

as far as I'm concerned people are still playing games.

Most ps3 games run at 30 frames versus 60 for xbox,and build me a 200 dollar pc that will play Cod4 at 1080P at 60 frames smart ass.

Sure people are still playing old ass games on the pc.But all the big games are developed with consoles in mind these days because that's where the money is.Case in point is Crysis graphically that game was awesome but it forced people to spend a ton of cash just to pull 35-40 frames at descent resolutions.And as far as game sells it was considered a failure.

And i did say gamestop as well as wal-mart but wal-mart is by far the biggest seller of games in the U.S.

Everything i have said is a fact.You could argue that the pc is a better platform and have some valid points mind you,but so far your failing miserably at it.

So? Just because it was graphically awesome doesn't necessarily mean that it was a good game to everyone. There's quite a few people that regard Crysis as a benchmarking program that takes place on a beach as opposed to an actual "game".

I'm not saying that you're entire point is moot. I do agree that most publishers are making more games with consoles in mind as they feel that it is more profitable to go that route (ex: Bioshock...or GoW2 not coming to the PC). I'm just saying that Crysis wasn't the be-all and end all of PC games.

PC Gamers and Console Gamers are somewhat different.

PC Gamers usually dedicate a lot of time to a few games, case in point Counter-Strike. The more popular pc games develop a dedicated fan-base and keep that player base for a long time. Players develop communities, clans, guilds, corporations and PC games involve a lot of teamwork to get things done. Until recently it has been hard for console games to do that.

PC Gamers have had multi-player option a lot longer than consoles. Sure they had split screen but unless your tv is big it pretty much sux and you can only get 4 people to play anyway.

Now there is Xbox Live and that's fine, all I'm saying is that PC games have the advantage as far as multiplayer is concerned especially since PC Gamers have a choice whether or not to pay a subscription for multiplayer (per game like WoW) unlike Xbox Gamers who have no choice (yearly membership). PC multiplay has been around longer so it appears that people play 'older' games than people who play console games but that's only because of the argument I stated above.

Also, it's easier to add new content to PC Games via download. I don't know much about the Xbox so maybe they offer some sort of upgrades but I doubt it. Games like WoW can add new content and keep their player-base very happy.


Looking at the bigger picture I see an eventual merging of the 2 types of gameplay.
regular tv's are being replaced with LCDs just like the LCDs PC Gamers use on their systems. Also, HTPCs are very popular and will become very common over the next 10 years especially with the push of all the streaming video content being developed. Essentially gaming consoles are specialized computers designed solely for gameplay. I'd say within the next 15 years you'll see a merger between the two types of gameplay and the disappearance of the dedicated gaming console and the emergence of different companies offering online subscriptions to play their games.
