I don't understand why people are all up on her business. I got 4 kids and 1 on the way and if any dumbass "it takes a village" liberal puke tried to take my kids there would be a F*CKING war. The media has hiped this poor woman to death. Yeah sixteen kids is alot and yeah she'll need to be on the draw for a while BUT the kids are Americans and deserve to be left alone. 2 generation before me couples often had huge families and live with a whole lot less of life's perks. 1) She was artificially inseminated with more embryos then she should of been, ethically speaking.

2) She has no job, collects disability for herself and 3 out of her other 6 children who are sextuplets from an earlier fertility treatment.

3) Even her parents spoke out publicly against her. That right there says something about her state of mind. Normally family will disagree in private and hold a public face but her parents have been against this from the start.

4) There is something mentally wrong with this woman plain and simple. She has absolutely no means of supporting her 6 kids let alone these premature octuplets. These octuplets were 9 weeks premature which carries with it a heavy health care cost which the state of California is stuck paying and is around 1million dollars right now.

5) She expected the money train to roll in after successfully giving birth to the octuplets. She thought people and organizations were going to donate money and she'd be all over tv on shows like Oprah and have her own reality show.

6) Oh yea, she lives with her parents who are about to lose their home.


This isn't a family. It's one person with a mental problem which has no means to support the children she already had and now the rest of the state/country has to pick up the slack.

I'll be very happy if she doesn't get the kids. Someone else with the means can take care of them.

I can't imagine the psychological effects this is going to have on the children who aren't disabled. Anyone raised by this person is going to be messed up psychologically somehow. I'll bet my dick on it.

I have seen the vids with her kids and it looks pretty family like to me, she seems nice and genuine enough, and I say she loves her kids dearly. She has collected $165,000 in Disability for an injury which occurred in 1999. She said she saved money and used part of her disability money to pay for the medical procedure which costs $8000-15000. Oh yea, she never told her parents about the $165000, never helped with rent or food money. According to the interview with her mom all she did was buy a lot of toys.

She collects $490 a month in food stamps and collects disability checks for 3 of her 6 children she already had through insemination.

So despite the fact that she already had this procedure once and 3 out of the 6 children are disabled she did it again.

Her parents are the ones taking care of her kids, she can't even take care of the 6 she already has.

She won't even let the father of the children help raise the kids.

Her parents are over 22,000 behind in their mortgage payments, their about to lose their house. She could have taken the money for the operation and helped pay the mortgage.

This situation would be totally different if she had these children the 'normal' way.

If you think it's ok for someone with absolutely no means of support who can't even take care of the kids they already have to go out and have more children, paying $8000-15000 to have them then fine. America has a lot of people in it and I'm sure there is a percentage of people who will side with the mother and say 'Hey, no worries, let someone else pay for everything, you should be able to do whatever you want.'

She can love all the damn kids she wants but she has no grip on reality and the cost of raising a family. Even without the octuplets she was going to be dependent on the gov't for the other 6 kids.

It's a double edged sword because personally I don't want her to use her kids to make money but at the same time she is going to need a lot of money to raise the kids. NBC already negotiated over $1 million for the rights to videos and interviews with the family.

If you watch the video of the interview with I think Katie Couric she says she's going to support her family with her student loans, and that she'll have no other sort of income what so ever, besides the food stamps and disability checks for her kids of course.

She's going to make money off of this and I guess it's ok because quite frankly $1 million dollars isn't enough to raise all those kids. She doesn't have a publicist anymore, they were all scared away by the death threats lol.

Personally I hope the money NBC paid her goes to pay the hospital bills for the 8 kids and I hope she doesn't get custody of the children. I'd rather see the father get custody and the public can help him out however they see fit.
