Post Opinion Poll : Conservative or Liberal?
Edited.

Are you conservative or a liberal?

<Conservative.

For reference for anyone that doesn't know:

Conservatism is a term used to describe political philosophies that favour tradition, where tradition refers to various religious, cultural, or nationally defined beliefs and customs. It is difficult to define the term precisely because different cultures have different established values and, in consequence, conservatives in different cultures have differing goals. (Some conservatives seek to preserve the status quo or to reform society slowly, while others seek to return to the values of an earlier time, the status quo ante). In a more general sense, politically, Conservatism often refers to Right-Wing politics.

Liberalism is a broad array of related ideas and theories of government that consider individual liberty to be the most important political goal.[1] Modern liberalism has its roots in the Age of Enlightenment. Liberalism rejected many foundational assumptions that dominated most earlier theories of government, such as the Divine Right of Kings, hereditary status, state religion, and protectionism.

Neither. I think that labels segregate the country.

Libertarianism is a term used by a broad spectrum[1] of political philosophies which prioritize individual liberty[2] and seek to minimize or even abolish the state.[3][4] The definition of libertarian in a political sense is a contentious issue and there is no single principle or set of principles on which all libertarians would agree. The proper role of government is described from a number of different metaphysical, epistemological, and moral viewpoints.[5] The word libertarian is an antonym of authoritarian.

In addition, from everything I've read and seen lately, many dems feel the party is not and does not stand for the same idealogies and positions as it did in times past like during the Kennedy era. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_20

And, for sure, many conservatives feel the same about the GOP.

Quite frankly I don't see the need to label myself, it seems everyone likes to do that for me.

So I'll let you decide for me.

Education: #1. If we want to stay a world power and serve as the world's example of the 'best' society we need to educate our youth in all aspects of life. When I say all aspects of life I mean all including but definitely not limited to responsibility and accountability as it applies to sex education, guns, alcohol, smoking and drug abuse and fiscal responsibility. How can a parent teach their children these things when they them selves aren't educated in these subjects?

Government Enittlement Programs. Definitely should be time limited because of the number of abuses in the system which costs responsible, hard working Americans a lot of money. National health care programs should only be for children 0-18 y/o. They should not be condemned to repeat their parents disgusting habits or be penalized because of thier parents economical situation.

Immigration. If you came over here illegallly you knew that you were doing something wrong and if caught should be sent home. No matter what. Period. End of discussion.

Abortion. IMO the prime example of a dysfunctional society which has become absolutely and disgustingly morally bankrupt. Morals being defined as an ideal code of conduct, one which would be espoused in preference to alternatives by all rational people, under specified conditions.

Capital Punishment. Should be televised for everyone to see. In order for a society to endure those who do not adhere to the basic rules which make society possible need to be punished severely. I would say put them all on an island but unfortunately due to the over population of the planet land is scarce and too expensive for this alternative. As a result society must rid itself of those who obviously will not conform to the BASIC rules of cooperativeness.

Capitalism. Abused heavily by greed. As much as I want to be a hedge fund manager I find it extremely sick that they make 30 milliom a year and IMO don't give enough back to help society as a whole. I find it appalling that cigarette companies continue to be allowed to distribute their products without hinderance.

That's all I feel like writing right now. So what am I?

Is there any one person that is 100% liberal or conservative on all issues?
