Post Barack Obama's Judgement?
Joe Biden questions Obama’s judgment

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVy2yh28 ... -judgment/

SEN. JOE BIDEN: Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. She is say close personal friend and qualified to be president of the United States of America. She is easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America and quite frankly it might have been a better pick than me, but she is first-rate. I mean that sincerely.

A bigger blunder was that Obama voted against funding for troops at war.

Post Re: Obama's Judgement
Really?

A video by Biden trying to placate Hillary fans (who McCain smartly tried to pull away by picking Palin) is him saying Obama can't lead?

As far as the surge goes, which is what that video is about; hindsight is 20/20. There are a bunch of clips of Obama saying beforehand he doesn't think the surge will work, and then a bunch of clips of other people, after the fact, saying it worked. The surge did have a good effect, as far as I can tell, but it's sort of silly to present Obama's opinion before the fact next to other's opinions afterwards.

How about the fact that McCain supported the war in Iraq because he thought there were WMD? Obama was against it from the start...which is a bigger blunder; dragging the nation into a costly war, or questioning a troop surge once that war is ongoing?

As far as caring for the troops goes:

The whole truth is that McCain has his own Bill on Veterans Education Benefits and the Webb Bill contained hidden earmarks for home heating subsidies Obama wanted.

In September, McCain refused to support Webb’s bill to ensure service members get adequate time at home between deployments. McCain castigated the effort, declaring he “hoped” Congress would reject the bill because it “would create chaos.”

After months of being pressed by Webb and thousands of veterans to support Webb’s bill, McCain refused to sign on and introduced his own legislation with Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard Burr (R-N.C.).

There are some marked differences between the two bills—deepening the standoff between McCain and Webb, who are both Vietnam War veterans.

In particular, McCain’s bill seeks to transfer educational benefits to the spouses and children of military members who spend at least six years in the military. Webb’s bill as it stands now does not address the issue of transferability.

Webb has already indicated that no major compromise would be possible so late in the game.

McCain reached out to Webb with a letter on Monday, and Senate aides later met to try to solve their differences.

The major difference is that Webb's bill gives benefits to soldiers who have completed 3 years of service, while McCain's makes troops serve twice as long (6 years) for benefits.
