But seriously, what about a independent like Ron Paul!

Ron has some very good ideas and positions on foriegn policy and border security. Great tax and healthcare reform policies including ending the IRS! Ron seems to have more going for his movement then Ralph Nader ever has.

Ralph has many good ideas too, it would be nice to have them both on the same ticket! I would vote for that. I like Ralphs workers rights, fairtax, media bias and single pay healthcare policies.

Barr is pretty center on most of the issues but fails to cover the environment completely and has no real plan for Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare and healthcare and makes no mention of insurance, mortgage banking, FDA, FEMA, voting/electoral and tax reform, much less reform of government lobbyist and earmarks. Very Very bland high evel ideas and supportng info. Weak...

There are several independents that have ideas (and ideals) in alignment with my own. Unfortunately, NONE of them are serious contenders and a vote for any of them is a wasted vote.

Yeah yeah yeah we hear all the "there's no such thing as a wasted vote" bullshit but it doesn't matter. Throwing away your vote on someone that will obviously NOT win under any circumstance is the same as not voting at all.

You're not making a political statement of any sort. You're just getting exercise walking back and forth to the voting box. Congrats on burning 18 calories and completely wasting your time.

I agree in theory, but not in principle. At some point an Independent (not dem or repub) will win.
