 Connectivity
How would I get a satellite connection/wireless connection in the middle of nowhere?

Contact a wireless or satellite provider. There is no way in hell you can play games on satellite and its highly unlikely on wireless, in case you were wondering.

That's what I've read too...low speeds and high price, just sucks if you have no other option.

The bandwidth usually isn't that bad but usually the latency is too high to play games.

i don't have experience with wireless, but i do with satellite, and it's not good.
they talk about downloads speeds that are super high fastness!!! but it's the upload speeds that kill you. you can only upload at speeds similar to dialup, which will NOT allow to you play any online games, becuase you are constantly uploading information for online play. hell, you'll be lucky if you don't pull out all your hair waiting for shit to load just trying to surf the web. but if you're in the middle of nowhere you may have no other options...
good luck!!!

Yeah, what I read mentioned the same stuff as Purple, it is pretty bad bandwidth, esp for the price.

well the satl internet used to require a phone connection and a special box to receive info
the phone line was use for pure upload... now theres 2 way sat internet which means u can download and upload at sat speed... thing is for that it would probably cost a good chunk of change and some form of commitment...
if u want net to just surf sat internet is an option with single way internet no chance for gamming
dual band communication via sat internet may be an answer but at the cost of ur left nut.

dsl download speed with a semi decent upload... but isntallation is 299$ including 100% coupon.. and monthly fee is 79$ ouch...
check out their promotion section for free setup and install but monthly charge cost 20$ more... still need to sign contract though

We went camping Thursday and they had electricity outlets at the campsites (lame) so I was thinking what if we got a bunchof people and just brought our desktops out there and made a LAN. I was just curious about the internet.

We would if the park wasn't so shitty. We could literally see a spot light from a local strip club up in the sky. Plus we were attacked by a chupacabra.

Coach plays on wireless.
Wireless - capable
Satillite - out of the question.
Wireless through you have to rent equipment and all that stupid shit. It's not worth it.
