Well, I tried combat arms today. It's F*CKING sweet. I think you guys would like it. Some key features:

1. Your life is about the same as CS. It'll feel relatively close to CS after a bit of playing.
2. The AWP equivalent has a F*CKING silencer Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_06
3. Flashbangs need to be unlocked. I played for a few hours and didn't get them.
4. You get 2 grenades.
5. Plenty of n00bs to own. If you're good at CS, you'll do fine in Combat Arms.
6. You have a backpack which can act as ANY slot, primary, secondary, or grendaes.
7. You can get a F*CKING shotgun as a secondary weapon.


Best of all, it FREE. The more noobs you own, the more money you get. You can buy a gun for a day using the money. As a special promotion, you get a M4 and AWP for FREE if you sign up soon.

The only thing I didn't like is that headshots are hard to do.

I've been playing it for the past week, its actually pretty good if you put into perspective that it is "free". I think though it will soon get a bit pain in the ass having to revive your weapons the whole payout per match is not really that big. Its really hard to suck at this game, lots of dumb people that can't shoot, I think I got a positive kill ratio for the first time in my life.

I hate to double post, but...I did get some time to check out the game, and it is fun.

It's kinda like a dumbed down CoD 4. Except you have more customization.

I'm still debating about the whole "rebuy your weapons every day/week" thing, but you'll probably be able to buy 'em and not worry about it w/ consistent play.

There doesn't seem to be as much recoil to the guns as there is in CS though (I'll spray quite abit and still manage to kill people). And Jet was right about the whole "lots of noobs to own" comment. I can barely keep a .67 KDR in CSS, but I do much better in this game :D .

All in all it's definitely worth the download/sign up.

It's fun, fast paced....but it's like all those other korean games.

Too laggy. A mother F*CKER can skip dicks around you before you can even shoot him.

Not bad once you get used to it and really thought out.

Multiple spawn points + 3 secs invincibility = F*CK your spawn camping

You're given cash through your game performance and progress. Use this to rent equipment and upgrades for a number of days (the longer the more expensive) and you outfit yourself with a combinations of 2 primaries and secondaries, grenades, outfits, helmets, and you spawn with that until the game ends.

Just played a round where all my kills were pump shotty or knife kills and I had about 20 kills and 8 deaths. This is just too easy, but strangely fun.

The buying the weapons isn't that bad. The trick is to buy them for 7 days. There's a HUGE discount between 1 day vs 7 day, but not as much for 90 days vs 7 days.
I'm not sure about you guys but I can earn about 100-200 points per round. I usually make back all the money I spend in one day in 6-7 rounds.

A few things that I've learned so far.
1. Don't waste money on a silencer for an assault rifle, the level 1 silencer does NOT eliminate muzzle flash. M4 is very nice without the silencer, the SCAR is also decent.
2. Spend money on a scope, mid range combat sucks without a scope.
3. Don't bother spending money on a pistol, you'll likely never use it. Shotguns are fine and dandy, as long as it's a small map.
4. If you are using the "free" sniper, don't bother with aiming for the head. It's not accurate enough. Aim for the center of mass. Also, if the person is behind sandbags, it's almost impossible to hit them using the free sniper at long range.

FYI, I'm using the name TrappaKeepa in Combat Arms, mainly because it's the same name I'm using in Maple Story

Yeah, I agree with everything there. Though I will say I find the AK-47 much more useful than the M4 (I like to have the AK as a primary and use the M4 as a backup). Oh, and some guns (like the G36E) come with a scope, so you don't have to invest the money for one.

If you want more points, Jet, go play some more One Man Army matches, I can usually rack up 200-300 points playing those (Capture the flag can raise your GP too, but One Man Army is more consistent). The only problem with that mode is it's infuriating if you play that mode in junk area with 16 players. I guarantee half of the times you'll die in that match will have been because someone spawned right in front of you or behind you (and because they have invulnerability for 3 seconds, you're screwed). On larger maps that's a non issue (and it's less of an issue if there's less than 10 people playing).

And I play on Combat Arms as Ozark52 (I know, it's very creative).
