OK, I read this in newsweek magazine. I couldnt help but to ask you your opinion.
"So?"
VP Dick Cheney, responding to ABC News' White House correspondent Martha Raddatz, after she cited a recent poll showing that most Americans do not believe the Iraq War was worth fighting
"The American people have input every four years, and that's the way our system is set up."
White House spokeswoman Dana Perino, during a daily briefing in which reporters, prompted by Cheney's comment to ABC News, questioned whether the Bush administration cares about input from the public

mmm not anymore....
dont get me wrong, i support the war effort, but not becuase of the administration but becuase of the men and women over there being killed.
but i think that bush and them dont really care about what the people think anymore becuase they know they cant do anything about it this close to the next election. no ones going to listen to anything the current administration says, so why care...

Government in general does not listen to the people anyhow. They are all a ruling class that will continue to do so until either they bankrupt everything or go to far on infringing personal liberties. I don't think left or right anymore because I ain't left nor right on everything. The governmet is in bussiness to keep itself in control. I think an example it the tax rebates or whatever they are called. Will they stimulate the economy? No. They are just to be able to say "well we gave you money so be happy". Doesn't matter that it was our F*CKING money to start with. We went out and earned it f*ckers! Politicians piss my off with a capital P, all of them are corrupt and only want to grow the beast.
Back to the point. Does the administration care what the people think?
Why should they?
And the next administation is just gonna be that much worse when it comes to the "whats good for the contry" line. Prepare to grab your ankles and sorry to say but with the price of oil now vasoline is too expensive, we're all gonna be raw.

Yeah, I saw the video on the Daily Show. It gives you a better perspective on how much of a dick he really is.

The whole situation with Hussein is a shitty one. He is guilty of genocide, and anyone guilty of genocide needs to be executed. It's a crime against humanity, and no matter who is doing the killing or who is being killed, modern society shouldn't stand for it. He needed to be executed.
The shitty part about it is that someone like that -- someone that evil is required to run such a fucked up country. You HAVE to have that military "kill 'em all" mind to have any sort of respect in that situation.
I don't know if getting rid of him was a good thing or a bad thing.

It appears that, at least in the near distant future, there will always be power hungry person(s) trying to take control and rule with violence in that part of the world. Unfortunately, our country is in no position economically, socially or politically to see to it that these types of people do not take control.
I would have more respect of the Bush administration if they had just come out and said that it was time for the tyranny of the Husseins to come to an end. Of course the Bush administration has their own agenda and they used the American people to get what they wanted and there is definitely a divide between the American people and the Bush administration.

I think any time we decide that someone has "weapons of mass destruction" and we decide to invade their country to eliminate them, we probably shouldn't announce it 4 months in advance when they have allies on 3 borders.
Who REALLY expected to find anything?
