Source freezes at certain times

 Source freezes at certain timesIt's 50 percent random and 50 percent fixed. My entire computer locks up sometimes when I get flashed or fire a shot, but each time it varies. I could be playing for 5mins and it'll lock up or for an hour without anything.
It's happened the most right as I'm flashed though. My screen turns white from the flash and the humming sound will loop and I can't do shit. Any ideas on what the hell might be causing this? And this is the only game I've notice it happen on. |

Thanks, I'll try what they say and see what happens. What's really weird is that I have almost the same identical setup I had on my old P4 system with shitty graphics and Source never encountered this problem.

I had the same problem but I bought a next gfx card and more ram and it went bye bye
