Correct me if I'm wrong, but there aren't any candidates that believe what I believe.
My feelings are as follows:
1) Social Security needs to be privatized ASAP.
2) We need to stop sending money on other countries and get our debt to China paid off.
3) There should be a larger separation of Church and State in the United States. No more tax dollars spent on statues of the 10 commandments or religious figures. No more "In God We Trust" on our currency. No more swearing on a Bible in court. With that, gay marriage and abortion should be legalized, and stem cell research should be federally funded.
4) We need federally regulate US Oil companies. This means either the US needs to take them over, or we need to tax the shit out of big oil depending on the cost of oil (the higher the price, the higher the tax), or give them tax incentives to lower the oil prices.
5) We need to lower our dependence on oil, period. There needs to be some sort of rebate program or federal inscentive to American companies for them to make an affordable alternative-energy vehicle.
6) White collar criminals need to face the same punishment as violent criminals. On average, they do more widespread damage than someone who robs a liquor store.
Let me also say that I am not an Athiest and I believe in God. I've got some very different religious views. I also hate Catholicism, as they destroyed Christianity. If you're a Catholic and you're offended by this, send me a message and I'll give you a history lesson that will make you hate Catholicism too; you might even want to punch the Pope when you know what I know.

Holy shit, religion AND politics in the same thread.
Quote: But that still doesn't legitimize Ron Paul supporters regularly going out, screaming obscenities at people who they don't like and at times assaulting them.
That's not necessarily relevant. You can't judge a candidate by their supporters. If you really support a candidate, you support them for the view that they supply, not by the people that follow them. Likewise, if you dislike a candidate, then you should dislike them for their views, not the nutjobs that walk behind them.
As far as religion goes, I think it's good for people to believe in something. Whether that's God, Jesus, Yourself, whatever. I also think it's good to have ideas on how to act. Buddhism isn't a religion, it's a set of ideas on how to act.

I never criticized Ronnie Bo. I just said I do not wish to be counted in the ranks of the vocal and stupid portion of his supporters. They're the ones that everybody hears about so I'd rather stay silent in support for Ron and let my ballot speak.

I think we shouldn't be paying property taxes at all.
and Gman is right, if the U.S. is ever going to progress into the future we should already have some kind of fuel alternative...and separate church and state.
amen

I think I just solved Social Security and Fuel problems.
Use old people as fuel.
There's way too many of them and they just take up space anyway.

I actually thought up a matrix-y like plan a while back to have the government "rent" brain dead and old people's bodies to use as human batteries. The problem with that is people don't want to be batteries.
Is it wrong to believe parts of how hitler governed were right? I mean parts that may seem extreme (not the jew killing) today, but if you look at it logically without human emotion, they're extremely beneficial.
