I got another letter from the National Republican Congressional Committee yesterday. I don't know why. I'm not registered as a Republican.
Anyway, I filled out their survey after changing most of the questions and adding to most of the answers just so my responses wouldn't be skewed (or counted). Then I wrote a letter back to them that went a little something like this.
Dear Republican Friend,
I’m not exactly certain of why you need to send me a mass printed letter telling me why you need my opinion as if it is important in the grand scheme of a survey.
The issue is more perplexing when I factor in the fact that I am not a Republican. I’m not a Democrat either. I’m merely a citizen of the United States of America who cares enough not to buy a prepackaged philosophy.
Sure, Nancy Pelosi and her communist friends are vulnerable, but so are you and the Republicans. You pissed away years that could have been used to pass conservative legislation and you didn’t. You made the budget bigger for your own job security and you definitely pandered to your special interests.
If you really think these “social welfare experiments” are so daft in reality, then why do you not run on platforms of ending Social Security and welfare and all your other vote buying programs? I know that’s a rhetorical question because the answer most simply is that you love power and you’ll never give it up if you have a choice. You don’t care about this country at all.
Stop asking for more of my money when you hold a gun to my head every paycheck and every Fifteenth of April to steal it from me.
Stop buying votes with your refusal to end social welfare programs. People deserve a helping hand, but you offer them a crutch with no hope of escape just so you’ll go down in history as an amazing leader.
Stop letting special interests take over your agenda. You’re no better than the Democrats.
Get rid of this failure called government education. At the very least you need sell it off to the private sector. They’ll do a good job for a change. All your education system does is play to a lowest common denominator to make our children as stupid as possible so that they have to sell their votes for your good grace.
Give up on the whole abortion debate. It’s meaningless. It’s more vote buying. Appealing to sane individuals will get your more votes than will appealing to orthodox madmen who have never used the conscious part of their brain. God can sort out abortion when it’s all said and done.
Don’t even talk to us about cutting taxes until you fix your problems with spending. Cutting taxes without cutting down on your bloated, beloved budget is only going to run us further in to debt. But then, I’m sure China would love to buy more of our debt so they can cripple us if we ever come in to real conflict with them. I’m also sure you’d love that since you don’t want this country to prosper.
Pass H.R. 25. You worthless people have been letting it die since 1999. Give us back our power starting with the Fair Tax bill. Other issues will start falling in to place from there.
Reform our government. This is the year 2008 and the federal government is still running on systems developed in the 1920s.
And you know what? Start expressing some outrage for a change. Democrats run around all day crying about how they’re outraged over inconsequential matters. Why can’t you be outraged over things that do matter? Show a little bit of righteous anger for a change. America wants to see leaders who are willing to stand up for their beliefs.
If you want to get outraged, here’s a start. Every time something symbolically Christian is removed from the public life, get mad. Our Founding Fathers were Christian and created this country from a Christian standpoint. Our government is inherently Christian at its core. Congress shall make no law establishing a state religion, but that doesn’t mean our federal government can’t be Christian. We’re protected from being forced in to one religion, not from a display of the Ten Commandments or prayer in school. I’m an atheist and the fact that you aren’t outraged by attacks on national traditions outrages me.
Hop to it, folks. You may be able to salvage the last bastion of hope in the world.
Sincerely,
Steven K. Johnson
A Fellow American

If you agree with me, copy paste that letter to an email and send it to at least three people or the little girl with the lava veins in her skin and the glowing red eyes will kill everyone in my sleep with room balls closet and that one thing. BIG PINK GUY.

Kitten, that letter was well thought out....and if there ever was a political canidate that didn't try to cater to everyone or sugar coat what they say to ease peoples minds about the reality of a United States spending problem, Americans might get close to understanding how much of an issue it is for future generations.
When I think about America, I think about freedom.
When I think harder, I think about HOW America draws the line.

This Country needs a real wakeup call to understand how financially stupid we've become.
I walk by the courthouse in Orlando all the time to pay my speeding tickets, and court fees and whatnot......and theres always some prick that asks me if I'm registered to vote.
I think I want to take him up on that now, so I can place my vote to empower someone that can ram the United States further into the ground.
yay for chaos!!!!
I really love what Bush has done by putting our tax dollars to work, don't get me wrong.....if I could vote for him in this election I would.
This country wastes so much money on there military it's ridiculous, and Bush has really made me feel like I'm getting my moneys worth so far.
I hope whoever wins next will put our money to good use like taking over the rest of the world so we can pollute it with Americas ignorant influences.
let's keep scratching at our wounds and create perminant scars.
oh yeah, Brittney Spears is my Idol, Rupaul is hot, credit cards are such a good way to spend money, wallmart is the greatest store ever, the people that work border patrol should be shot, and my health care plan is worth working so hard for I can't afford anything else!! woot! woot!
peace out!

Gonna have to ask you to get the F*CK out.
Communism isn't the answer when there are solutions to the actual problems.

Approximate Population of Canada: 33,147,000
Approximate Population of USA: 303,183,000
With almost 10 times the population of Canada, universal healthcare won't work. Compute in the baby boomers that are about to destroy the US Social Security system and the fact that we've recently had a relatively small baby boom.
These people (the very old and very young) equal around 3/5 of the population of the USA which only leaves 2/5 of 303 million to pay the taxes needed to care for the entire population.
It works for Canada simply because they have a tiny population compared to ours. Our healthcare system would crumble if we had universal healthcare. We'd lose the majority of our overseas nurses, doctors, and other support staff right off the top because the pay would go decrease.
Why do you think those Pakistani doctors come over here and work anyway? It certainly isn't because they think we have a wonderful culture. It's because of the cash. Not to mention all of the nurses from Canada and the Phillipines and other places, they come here for the cash.
You see, supply and demand would have an opposite effect on pay. Healthcare workers won't get paid more because they're needed badly, they'll get paid less because the government will put a cap on what they get paid.
It's all going straight to hell in a hand basket and I plan on being out of nursing (and healthcare in general) within 7 years...because...that's when the real shit is going to hit the fan, 7 years from now. Give or take 1 year, depending on who gets into office.
