I picked up what appears to be the 4th book in the series. The Ghosts of Onyx. Bought on my way to London for the plane ride and I was actually suprised, it was an awesome read. So I made an Amazon account and bought the first three books. If any of you buttbplugs actually pick up these things called 'books' and are Halo fans. Check out the series by Eric Nylund. It's pretty good.

I generally pick up a book based on a game when the game left me with my dick in my hand and wondering what the hell just happened.
A friend made me read the first book in the Starcraft series after telling me it was totally kickass, and twas.

Twas the night before Blizzcon, when all through Korea
Not a Ching Chong was stirring, not even a Drone.
The mice were hung by the computer with care,
In hopes that StarCraft II soon would be there.
The Kekekes were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Jim Raynor danced in their heads.
And Kerrigan in her blades, and Aldaris in his pylons,
Had just settled their brains for a long weekend's battle.
When out on the stage there arose such a clatter,
All sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
Away to the seats they flew like a flash,
Tore open the gift boxes and spent up the cash.
The Zerg on the corpse of the new-dead Arcturus
Gave a glimpse of glee to Terrans below.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But a mighty Dragoon, and eight furious zealots.
With a little old Battlecruiser, so operational,
They knew that moment had just arrived.
More rapid than Mutalisks the Zerglings they came,
And they whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"{Moon speak goes here}"
As oblivious Probes that live before Nuclear Launch Detected,
When they meet with a Ghost, blow up with blue fire.
So up to the skys the Infested Commands Centers they flew,
With the hall full of Queens, and Duran too.
And then, in a chuckle, they heard on the stage
The talking and boasting of each Blizzard employee.
...
I can't go any further. The original poem still has about 4000 lines left and I'm just bored.

I've read the first three and loved them. A while back I bought ghosts of onyx but since then I can't bring myself to pick it up and actually read it. Right now I need to finish up World War Z and then I'll start it up.
