A despicable act of police brutality was committed on Go Skateboarding Day by the Hot Springs, Arkansas Police Department. Video of the incident is below. After you watch it, we ask ALL of you to flood their phonelines and email address (below) with complaints regarding the main policeman involved, Officer Joey Williams. You should also contact your local news organizations to help spread the word. The more attention this officer gets, the better for us.

I think the cops actions were a little uncalled for. I can understand telling kids to stop skateboarding if it's against the law where they are doing it, which it was. I can understand a warning as well, which I assume they were given and did not listen, from hearing the policeman say, "I told you to stop," or something along those lines. I can even understand (maybe) tackling a kid that is running away or something, but near the end he takes down a LITTLE GIRL thats riding her skateboard, grabbing her by the neck. My opinion is, the cop has more important things to do than tackle kids who are skateboarding. Even if it is on a sidewalk where they aren't supposed to. It was Go Skateboarding Day. Who gives a F*CK? This cop was an downright asshole. He could be out catching REAL criminals, drug dealers, reckless drivers, etc. But he just had to 'arrest' these kids.

So what's your opinion on this? Don't turn this into a retard thread please, I put it in General Discussion because I'm looking for opinions on the subject as well as the video.

Hey that happened in Tampa to they were arresting people for skating in downtown not the brutality but they arrested alot of people.

I hope he gets a F*CKING medal.

Kids are stupid these days. Back in my day when the first kid got grabbed by a cop, everyone would have scattered.

Those dumbshits stood around arguing that "he was just riding a skateboard". Who gives a damn? Shutup and run away from the police like a normal person!

Stand around arguing with a cop while he's arresting someone and you get taught a lesson.

Kids have no sense at all these days. Why aren't they running from the police? Stand there filming and mouthing off..... that cop should have taken a stick and beat the hell out of all of them.

If a cop tells you to quit doing something, quit doing it. If you keep on doing it, you're probably going to get arrested.

Corpse put it best. When a cop tells you to stop you should run as fast as you can. Don't stick around trying to save your freinds, screw em you don't need to go to jail. And always make sure when you run away scream profanities about the officers family.

IMO that is how a cop should be. I wasn't shocked to see those teenage pea-brains getting pinned down and grabbed in the neck...they violated the law and so did those robbers, drug dealers, reckless drivers etc who got their asses whooped on the scene. They wanna resist arrest and argue with the authorities? Show them authority.

And "go skate day?" lol wtf is that an annual celebration to go with gay pride? If you want to have a skate day don't do it on a DOWNTOWN area where theres police(they ALWAYS win no matter how loud you cry), lots of people, lots of vehicles and nobody cares about how you could ride a skateboard. Do it in your garage or in some place where its open for you to do it.

I'd probably have that much aggression if the station handed me a bike and told me to peddle around looking for crime too, lol. The camera man didn't really deserve to get arrested really, but those last two were annoying as shit "riding a skateboard, it's just a skateboard, I like skateboards, we skateboard, you should skateboard."
