Now that we're trying something different with the other gaming sections, it's time to segregate!!

This area where you hang out will be the Condition Zero ONLY area, with all other forums and gaming areas moved to completely separate databases and directories.

... and what should they see when they come here?

Well, no matter what, we need to have a front page with a link to "What is n00bfest?" someplace on it that leads to a page giving a description. But aside from that link, we need to allow people to choose the game they play so they get directed to the correct area of the site.

To that end, we have two samples for the people to review.

Sample #1 is a kick-ass little flash job that High and Acid Rain worked on together. It can be modified in any way, speeding-up the animations, adding click-through sounds, etc.

Sample #2 is a simple HTML file with pictures that oreX threw together for us to check out.

Take a look at these two links and then vote, Flash or No Flash. Either one can be changed, but we need to make the basic decision first.

I personally think the flash is really damn cool. But some of us with crappy comps or whatever might have problems with it. I think maybe you should first have a selection of Flash or HTML, then you see the respective links.

Flash is sweet! Although the other is nice to.

They both look awesome, but unfortunately some of n00bfest probably havent gotten out of the 90's with their computers like monk said.

Flash all the way, much cooler than just pics, and most if not everybody has the flash player so it shouldnt be too much of a problem

they are both cool but the flashing n00bfest is sexy as hell so ill go with the flash one

Yeah, the backround could use some work but overall its great!

I love both of them and think it'd be awesome if they could both exist.. But my vote went towards the non-flash, because the flash can sometimes take a while to load while I'm at school.

I vote both - the flash one being the main and at the bottom, outside the flash frame saying: "Click here for non-flash n00b vision!" or something to that effect.

If I had to choose I'd say non-flash, though.

yeah, both would work real well, but when someone new comes to the site i just think the flash intro will attract there eye best

If you use the flash (and I know you will) the sounds should should be sounds from the games you are clicking.

Flash gets annoying after 2-3 views..especially all that flashy shit in the beginning..

But yet if you take a look at the voting results, flash is dominating. If a nonflash version is offered, there should be no problems.

Have the zero's be the selection button. Maybe a plugin that allows you to save your selection to sway having to choose every time.

yeah it does get annoying, so I stole some of oreX's content and spiced it up some.
It doesn't load slow, and it still looks cool.
