 Ping problems
I got a problem, not only in n00bfest servers but also in 1.6 and other cz servers. I screwed around with my rates and such but it still stays in the 100-300 ping range and lags like F*CK. Can anyone help me. Thanks in advance.

Always set your ex_interp to .01. If you're using the rates for 1MB+ and get huge amounts of choke like I did, back it down to the 768k rates. The object is to get zero choke and loss (net_graph 3). To get max fps, turn your vsync off.

Easy anwswer would be to type: "Bandwith speed test" without the quotes into google. For those to lazy to do so demonknight is here to help:
http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/
EDIT: Also post your speeds here to give people more info on how to help you. IE:
Communications 3.7 megabits per second
Storage 450.7 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 2.3 seconds
Subjective rating Awesome
That is Comcast Cable in Colorado, it goes from 3.7-4.0. So try the test over and over again to see what your avr. is.

IT's called the clientregistry.blob file, and no dont delte that, it wont help your ping.
Another thing to try is make shure that you dont have 30+ things running in the background that could slow your computer down Example: Internet exploder, AIM, Yahoo, Fire Fox, or Xfire. Also check your spyware, and make shure you dont have 600+ virusus.
Also make shure you restart your computer often if your the type of n00b that let's it run all day everyday.
Also if you have a router reset that. And make shure that no other computer in your house is dl'ing something big. Even something small can slow down your connection if you have a bad one.
That's all I got for now when I can think of more Ill bring it here, if you need help with your rates just PM me, and give me all your specs and your connection info and I will see what I can come up with. If you dont think I know what Im talking about why dont you ask some of the people I have helped. That is all DemonKnight OUT!
EDIT: Also tell me where you live (what state).

This is on a good day.. Sometimes it spikes down to 100, and back up to 300 within seconds. Silly wireless.
