Post Logitech g5 Mouse Malfunction
So I have a g5 laser mouse and it has a problem, just wondering if anyone has a similar problem or a solution to my problem.

Symptom:
When I click and drag, for example to move an icon, it clicks and then unclicks and clicks again so I end up dragging another icon because it lets go of the first one and grabs a new one. This is also a problem in CZ because i cant spray because it releases my spray after 1-2 shots on the m4 and 2 on the AK, making short distances really hard.

I found one person via Google that has the same problem, but they didn't have a solution short of getting a new one. Anyone have any ideas?

Just a shot in the dark, but do you have your primary mouse button set to doubleclick or any other special button configuration?

G5's are bad. Actually, if you want a mouse to last forever, don't buy a Logitech. I'm on my second MX518. I've read dozens of reviews saying they crap out at random times. The only problem is, I love it. Fits my hand perfect. If you want a mouse to last forever, buy a 3.0.

lordcleavage'g guide to fixing your mouse

*this is all in theory....attempt at your own risk*

1) go to the store
2) buy a new mouse (cash)
3) return home
4) unpack the mouse carefully
5) plug new mouse in
6) put old mouse in package
7) wait a few days
8) return and say it broke (damn thing should last more then 3 months right?)
9) leave store
10) load up cs and play

/end

(or just buy a new power supply)

Haha its still under warranty so I could just ask for a new one. That is a good idea for other things though.

I have a 5-button Microsoft intellimouse explorer 3.0 thats as old as the 1.5 days. Never had a problem with it. I havnt had it so long because of money or anything, I'm just in love with it. i tried the mx1000 for awhile but it broke, I won't leave this mouse for anything and if it ever does break, ill buy another one.
