Is there any other program besides Fraps that can take demo files and make them into video files? I was just wondering because the quality is not so hot, just thought maybe someone out there may know of something better.

Mini-guide to Startmovie Recording Technique

once you have your demo:

go into CS
type "viewdemo <demoname>"
get to the point where you want to record
type "startmovie <moviename> <desired>"

it will slow down a lot because it needs to make a picture file for every single frame. I would recommend doing this with 30 fps. If you have a slow computer, go down to 800x600 or use a different fps. When you find the bitmap images in your czero folder (or cstrike), you will need to use a movie editor to combine all the bitmaps. After that, you're set.

I used VideoMach to combine the files once they were all put in the CS folder as image files. A little difficult to learn at first, but with a quick google and some patience the quality is uber sexy.

i have it also fraps for free but still dont get a satisfied fps
