 My Headset Hey i've got a question for you guys. Over the last year or so i've gone through maybe 5 or 6 pairs of headphones / mic sets.
When I buy a headset it works fine, but within 3+ months it slowly starts to stop working in one snare. I'll have to mess with the wire or the plug in and it'll finally start to work in that snare. (BTW it's always one snare that doesn't work right and cuts out) I've gone through multiple pairs because of this, and i've done the warranty thing at best buy and they keep giving me pairs but they always break, And they don't just not work on my computer, but the ones they test them on at bestbuy. Now with this pair I have now, the snare thing started happening awhile ago, but now the fu cking mic doesn't even work right anymore.
This headset isn't some cheap ass shit, It was around 35-40 dollars.
Anyone know what the problem could be?

Cheap, duh! LOL! Spend about 25 - 30 more at least man. To be honest, I think I spent 100, last Christmas, and I've still got them. And I beat the shit out of these things man. I've even been drunk, got up to go to the bathroom, ripped them out of the computer, pissed on the cord, shut it in the door, stretched the cord until it shot out and slapped me in the ass, and reminded me that I was still wearing my headset. Ok, so maybe I'm exagerating a little, but they really are good. They are probably a hell of a lot cheaper now. Altec Lansing SRS

haha thats what I have now :P
I think theres a problem with my computer..... it's not the headsets, but the problem with the computer effects the headset and breaks them?
Anyone know?

Dunno about your problem, but gl.
As for me, I'm fucked over pretty bad. My computer's Microphone port messed up and now I can only use USB Microphones... Which suck!

most likely your sound card just like mine, dont bother to buyy a new sound card, return ur headset and get a usb one, works the same, even better cause it;s.... USB!~ O.o
