 clockevery time I turn my comp off hten back on the clock changes time. Not really a big deal but I get confused on what time it is sometimes

oh believe me that can be done. but could it have something to do with that battery on my motherboard ya know the little watch battery? Ive never known what that is for anyhow

The first thing to go is usually the clock, before the BIOS completely resets. I went through 3 batteries before I realized what it was. It still worked just didnt retain info when I turned it off for awhile. |

Your CMOS settings will probably get lost so you may have to go into setup and reconfigure. Most systems today will do it for you unless you have stuff like SCSI, or RAID controllers.
