Ok so heres the problem...For the past 3-4 weeks my internet has been lagging...but the thing is it ONLY does it from 7p.m. Central up until around 11 p.m. Central...I have NO idea why it's doing this and it isn't my computer at all everthing else runs perfectly normal and it's perfectly fine during the day and I can still use the internet but I can't play anything b/c i lag so bad. At the start of the problem it was only around a 140 latency...but right now as i put this...my ping has been a steady 500 and I saw it shoot up to 740 so there is my problem and help me if you can.

I have called my internet provider to see if they can help and they sent a guy and he THOUGHT he fixed it b/c the strongest cable line(for the internet) wasn't hooked to the room i'm in and he hooked it to this room...but the next day it was doin the same shit.

I'm fixing to call them again to see if they can fix it otherwise i'm bout to shove it where the sun don't shine.

ya do u have a wireless network or anything? cuz ppl could just be stealing ur bandwidth from u if they live close by.

Also, there is probably more internet traffic at those times and your neighbors might be using more bandwidth causing everyone in the area to lag down a bit.

if you have any sort of wireless internet set up, this could definitely be the problem. I mean, right now I've lived in this house up in VA for not even a day and I'm using a neighbor's unprotected wireless internet. GG. Try getting a password on anything like that.

Perhaps your parents/whoever you live with is using bandwidth, downloading something. they could even just be checking email with a "constant email updater" on...

If you have straight cable, you should know how close to the front of the neighborhood you are. Further back = bad for latency. But it shouldn't be in the 150s, def not the 500s...

Try doing a tracert to n00bfest servers (and other sites/areas) to find where the highest ping is. If the highest ping comes up next to your ISP company, give them F*CKING hell.

I have NO wireless connection...straight to the cable modem buddies...and I called my provider and they said that the MAIN server in the big city was going through some shit and had latency problems but it's fixed now and I don't lagg anymore...at least so far...
