 external hard drive
I'm looking for a good, not too expensive external HD. Around 200Gb., firewire. I'm doing my homework searching in the net, but I wonder if some's done the same recently. Any ideas?

The cheapest way to get an external harddrive is to just buy and internal harddrive and an exclosure. My 250gb external all together ran about $85. (Its USB but firewire is about the same.)

The cheapest one is to get someone to buy it for you.. LOL... JK
Just buy the one I've offered you months ago and stop being a miser... 80GB (USB/FW) for US$50 it is a bargain.

Unless you're into video editing there's no need whatsoever for 1 terrabyte of space.

I have like 30 tapes from the time when my daughter was only months old, back in 2000. I gotta convert all those into DVD format ASAP or I'll lose it. 200-260 Gb will be enought to convert, edit and burn a few copies before it's too late.
Ty for the tip, Jar (lol shotokan).
