Post MIC Problem
I have a PLANTRONICS headset with MIC http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/cat640035/cat1430032/prod440020 which is really good.

The problem i am having is the MIC only works well if i hold it close to my mouth (when i say close i mean it) it has to be almost glued to my mouth.

well i dont think its your sound cards i think your problems are that you need to turn your out bound volume up... or change your vent to a push to talk button... if its in CZ your talking about get into your volume settings and turn the out bound up...

Try this:
Open the microsoft sound recorder located in accessories/entertainment.

Click edit then audio properties.

In the sound recording section click volume.

Check to see its all the way up then click Advanced then at the bottom check mic boost.
