I finally found a program that will do custom sprays for CZ and now I need to excersize it.....I want to do some custom sprays for the [SANF] teammembers....let me know if you guys want....I'll also do them for anyone else who reads this.... kod_psycho@hotmail.com

For those of us who have no idea how to use custom sprays here are some instructions.....

move *.wad file to c:valve/steam/steamapps/(username)/condition zero/czero
delete tempdecal.wad
rename *.wad to tempdecal.wad
reload CZ
spray away

I'll take a custom spray my email is skull_huntelz@yahoo.com. Can u get me one with a teal colored crayon and instead of saying crayon or crayola in the middle put F3Alz. If thats to much then dont worry about it and add or take whatever you want out.

The title said it all. I am so tired of jacking with this thing I think I'm going to bed.

you gotta delete pldecal also and make a copy of your tempdecal(the new one) and rename it to pldecal. then totally close out of cs or cz then start it back up and it will work, but if you change any of your option setting the spray will go back to whatever u had it before...

Or you can make it read-only and access your options all you want. ;-)

This is gong to take up some room.....so if you can't read tech...skip to the next post!

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE A CUSTOM SPRAY FOR CS OR CZ

1. Find a pic you like. Preferably small in pixels so you don't lose too much quality.

2. Edit the pic (photoshop/paint/printmaster/whatever) to what you want the spray to be.

3. Resize the pic to multiples of 16 in pixles. Both Length and Width.
EXAMPLES: 16x16 / 128x80 / 32x32

4. Width x Length must be less then 10752 pixels.

5. Send the pic through a converter program.
EXAMPLES: wally / customstrike

6. What you end up with is a wad file. A wad file is a HL texture file. These files normally contain multiple textures for an indavidual map or level of the game(HL/CS/TFC/DoD/CZ). There is also a wad file for the spray (CS/CZ - pldecal.wad / SteamCZ - tempdecal.wad), this is how the game knows what texture to place when you push the spray button.

7. To find this file click START - SEARCH - ALL FILES AND FOLDERS. Type in pldecal.wad or tempdecal.wad. Usually in C:\valve\steam\steamapps\(your steam account name)\condition zero\czero\tempdecal.wad.

8. Delete this file.

9. Copy your new wad file into that folder.

10. Rename your new wad file tempdecal.wad.

11. Reload CZ.

12. Spray away!!

Ok. I did the steps as you said Greenman. But somehow I can't seem to convert my .jpg file into a .wad file using wally. Any tips on how to do it? I mean I kept on trying to find a way to export it as .wad but the closest I could get to was .wal. SO can you help me? And I apologize if this is a stupid question.

Wow This is sad. I don't think i have ever had this much trouble on doing somehting on the computer. But I changed the pic to a 256 .bmp image. Yet for some reason I still can't export it as a .wad file. Any tips?
