Luckily konchog and kapala were here to clean up the massive amount of debris on the floor before I got home but there is still a ton of fiberglass EVERYWHERE.

water damage i guess.
We had the roof replaced this year and some boards were replaced.
I didnt think we had a leak there, however, because there was no sign of water damage such as discolorization.

I have a $500 deductible on my home owner's insurance. Hopefully they wont screw me by coming out and giving me a $498 estimate like they did when I tried to claim my roof damage....which ended up costing me $3,500 in the end

damn live!

thats horrible! Did you guys repair it yourself or did you hire someone?

I have several of my helstrm's peeps who have offered to come by this weekend and repair it. But I think they intend just to patch the part that fell. I was thinking the insurance company might replace the entire ceiling.
I'm not certain about that though

We salvaged until insurance can check it out. This Friday is when state farm is gonna finally be able to look at my parents house. The following morning after the storm my dad and I got on the roof with rain and 45mph winds and tacked plastic too the roof and nailed down our window boards across the holes in the roof. When it stopped raining we knocked out the rest of the wet drywall, ripped up all the wet carpet, and made a false roof with black plastic sheeting. My parents hacked the 5 trees in the front by themselves and left the 6 in the back for the insurance company. They have pictures of everything. So far there getting a new roof, new wood floors, new front door, new garage door, new building out back, 500.00 for every tree down, window and brick repair from the hit to the house from one tree, a few new walls, new heater and AC, all the drywall in the garage roof fixed as well as dining room and living room.
