Very true. This congress has been the least productive ever. People are now starting to understand how much their votes count. These politicians now know that gridlock isn't going to fly. Americans are becoming more centered than ever. 2008 is going to be huge, it will change the course of America for years to come.

no because the other side doesnt make sense. tell me one good thing the dems have done in the past 10 years? you cant because they dont have a solid stance on anything except abortion, taxes, and sucking the rest of the worlds ass. im sorry i just cant look at anything of the other side.

oh and just a follow up from my last post another way you can tell that conservatives are still there are the other state votes that happened. like knocking down same sex marriage in 5 or 6 states unsure of the count and knocking down marajuana laws for legalization(sucks). conservatism is still very strong in america, we just have to rally big time for 2008. we can take back the senate and keep the presidency. stay strong fellow republicans this election was just an eye opener.

Then again, the democrats haven't had control of Congress at any point in the past 10 years.

Sigh, if and when Hilary runs, that will be my sign to build a bomb shelter and stock food, because as much as Terrorist and Islamic countries hate us now. Imagine what they will do if we had a woman as our president......Scary....

an action by government doesn't need to be important or meaningful. It exists to protect United States citizens. We don't need it to constantly change and morph unless those changes are needed.

All I can say is that if a Democrat were in power for 9/11, we wouldn't be in Iraq. (But I don't know where we would be either... Gore wasn't the best choice for the Dems, and Kerry DEFINITELY wasn't the best choice in 04)

But the reason I can't say they've done anything important is because they havn't been in power for the past 6 years and before that the status quo was just peachy.

Umm, I think you just contradicted yourself.

You say they havent done anything because they havent been in power, but you also say they had crappy Candidates. So in all reality you are admitting that the Republican party has been the right choice because the Democratic party was in shambles as far as coordination.

Or...you could vote based on actual issues instead of siding with Democrats or Republicans.

even if Gore or Kerry would have been in office, I think they would have been lame-ducks (I don't know the term for a president that merely continues the status quo. if lame duck is wrong, sorry). Of course, the country didn't have the problems it has now, so nothing would have to be changed except increasing homeland security and chasing Osama.

England wouldn't have gone into Iraq if Bush didn't decide to go, and the rest of Europe is still not doing anything except through the UN.
