how do you watch someones demo if they send it to you in a Dem file?

In other news, put it in the /czero folder (where screenshots are saved, config files go, etc.). Then just use viewdemo (or playdemo if view messes up on yours like it does on mine).

well then either the .dem file is corrupt, or you're using the wrong name or something.

ok i even tried a demo i dowloaded for gotfrags and the shit wouldnt play it annoying as hell how do iget it to play the demos!

It might be a demo for a different version of counter-strike, you can't play 1.6 demos in condition zero, and visa versa.

If someone records a demo with a custom skin sometimes it errors out...there are some demo playing programs out there for 1.6 that were able to fix corrupt demos but they dont work on cz...

and you want to put the demo in the

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\YOURloginNAME\condition zero\czero

Folder...and go into console...theres 2 ways of actually watching them, ones through a simple "playdemo DemoName" and the other acually gives you play, stop pause Fast forward and slow mo...."viewdemo DemoName"

DO NOT put .dem at the end if you type this

playdemo haxer.dem

in console it is WRONG

playdemo haxer

is all you have to type...of course with the respected demo name instead of "haxer"

Make sure to check what version of the demo you are trying to play is. Like if you are trying to play a 1.6 demo in CZ it will error out, and vice-versa.
