 n00b pros
hey guys, I've noticed that there are some pretty good players in n00b..do any of you have professional experience with the game? I know it's not that competitive anymore, but I'm always looking to get better and get some cool tips that I can carry on into CS:GO when I stop playing on a laptop. I know some of you hate GO but please put that aside lol . Thanks - coffeeeeeeee

 Re: n00b pros
short bursts and crouching are better then spray and pray....start with that and get good and then go for the next step

ALSO if you dont have a decent headset in which you can hear footsteps invest in one...being able to hear people is a game changer

 Re: n00b pros
Getting better at CS doesn't accomplish much. Like you said competitively it's pretty dead, and that used to be the reason to get good.
CS also changes with each iteration so being good in one is quite a bit different than being good in another.
For example someone's skill level for 1.6 on a 1-10 scale could be a 9. But that doesn't mean they'll be that high when transitioning to CZ or Source or GO. Each version has their own tweaks and dumbass randomness. However, this doesn't mean they will be a 1 either, this comes from knowledge of playing the game and muscle memory.
A lot of things you need to get better aren't important anymore, such as how and when to throw grenades, when to anticipate people, how to read into others playstyle, etc etc..like I said the mental game of CS isn't important anymore considering it's pointless to devote time into something that's dead (unless you can find people and a team to scrim with for fun and you enjoy it).
Regarding getting better at just shooting you just gotta play a lot and play people better than you.
