Ask your friends whats wrong with vista. They can't name one thing wrong with it. Sure it takes up more resources then xp but guess what most computers that have vista on it have more resources to give. I'm still waiting on an answer about why vista is so bad from friends of mine to. It's just like Obama they couldn't come up with one thing that he did wrong but they said he was wrong. I currently have an amd athlon 64 processore, comp 3500+ seires, and its ten times faster then an intel that has a better processore speed and catche.(amd 2.0, intel 2.8) so how is intel better? jw

You seem to be comparing two cpu's that are about 4-5 years out of date when AMD actually could keep up with Intel. Now I'm not saying that AMD is bad now, it's just that the top of the line Intel cpu's beat out the top of the line AMD cpu's. Intel have better multitasking capabilities, bus speeds, cache size, and clock speed at the top of the line cpu's. But depending on your budget, an AMD could easily fit your needs and do a very good job of keeping your needs satisfied(in the computer department, you sick bastards Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_08 )

I've used both in builds and depending on the amount allowed to spend, I've gone with either Intel or AMD. Also note that at some of the mid range cpu's AMD beats out Intel in price to performance.

Well you have it semi wrong, AMD's chips are much better server chips, the way they are designed are for small memory items needs to be heavy processed where as Intel chips have the larger cashes for files like you would use in game. AMD's by far are the best chip designers. If you had the technoloy that Intel had their chips would smash Intel out of the water but Intel has better shrinking and size. AMD's also over clock a whole lot better than Intel's chip since they run at a lower temperature in the first place. So what it comes down to is what you want your computer for and if you care about with company you want to go with. Personally I like AMD most because they are bastards when they created their own 64 bit priority compiler for machine code. So I don't buy Intel out of spite.
