So in an attempt to get me to play warhammer online a guy at work bought me a used dell from Ebay and a video card. What a putz. I have a few months of free play that he gave me but after that I have no plans to pay a monthly fee to play a game that deals with little figurines that fags paint and play war with. The video card was some ATI bullshit, I really didn't look at it. I was all excited like finally I can play COD4, nope. My directX version is out of date and the processor is to slow.


Does anyone play COD4 with a single core pent 4? 2.7or something?

I already ran source on it last night and for the first time ever I seen some pretty cool shadows and water effects that I have never seen before. My frames hit 100, I almost shit. WIth my other tower I get 20fps. WIN!

lol um no i play on a q6600 quad core so sorry but at 2.4ghz but then again i havent even tried over clocking anything waiting on money for water cooling before i do that

and i hit 120 plus frames on all games unless theres just smoke everywere then its around 80

CPU isn't as important as GPU in gaming. For gaming the dual cores would probably be better for you. That said i run a q6600 G0 stepping and hit 3.6ghz without a problem. Water cooling isn't necessary at all to get a good clock. This xigmatech is the best cooler for the price:

Use that with a panaflo and it can sustain a massive overclock.

You can't compare a core 2 to a p4 clock to clock. The core 2 is much faster per cycle.

lol i no im just flexing my epenis lol yea i just dont have the money to replace a prosser if i blew mine right now plus i want to over clock my vid cards even more then wat they came already overclocked at so im going to wait on the money for water cooling
