Post Sarah Palin - RNC Speech
Best quotes from Sarah Palins RNC speech. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_02

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articl ... he_rn.html

"I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a "community organizer," except that you have actual responsibilities."

"we don't quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren't listening."

"I got rid of a few things in the governor's office that I didn't believe our citizens should have to pay for.

That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay.

I also drive myself to work."

"Our opponents say, again and again, that drilling will not solve all of America's energy problems - as if we all didn't know that already.

But the fact that drilling won't solve every problem is no excuse to do nothing at all."

"We've all heard his dramatic speeches before devoted followers.

And there is much to like and admire about our opponent.

But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate."

"Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit.

Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions.

Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it.

Congress spends too much ... he promises more.

Taxes are too high ... he wants to raise them. His tax increases are the fine print in his economic plan, and let me be specific.

The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars. My sister Heather and her husband have just built a service station that's now opened for business - like millions of others who run small businesses."

"In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers.

And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change. They're the ones whose names appear on laws and landmark reforms, not just on buttons and banners, or on self-designed presidential seals."

"There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you ... in places where winning means survival and defeat means death ... and that man is John McCain."

"For a season, a gifted speaker can inspire with his words.

For a lifetime, John McCain has inspired with his deeds."

Did I leave any out?

What a worthless speech. Absolutely no sunstance what so ever. It might as well have been a high school cheerleader up there in front of all her 'friends' insulting some nerd in their school. Seriously, how immature can American adults be?

Immature enough to only focus on things they don't like about a speech so they don't have to think about anything that was being said.

I think what he meant was sustenance. In which case, Obama's speech actually talked about issues, whereas it seems like Palin's was just immature trash-talk. I think that if McCain had actually picked a candidate that he thought would do well as his replacement, instead of just throwing a dart at a demographic target, then their hypothetical speech would have been much better.

Shit, I wish I could get a VP nomination while still being investigated by state legislature.

No. He was talking about worshiping the sun.

Sunstance is the stance you assume when worshipping the sun right before it pulls out it's plasma penis and rapes you.

What important ideas and plans about the future of this nation did you here in this speech? This was suppose to be an acceptance speech in which I thought was to begin the real discussion about McCain/Palin's plans on what they are going to do in office.

First, sunstance = substance.

Like I stated before all she did was bash her opponent by reiterating everything the RNC has already said against Obama. She did not touch on anything of real importance.

I did not make a comment about Obama and his speeches. I could care less about what her opponent says or does. I wanted to hear actually ideas, plans, and solutions to this nation's problems. Her acceptance speech was a waste of my time and of tax payers money. Is it really too soon to ask that of her? Maybe it is.

Also, perhaps its just my bad attitude but I take a slight offense to the fact that your response makes an implication that I support Obama just because I bashed Palin's speech.

Now, that being all said, I'd tear her ass up so bad I'd give her a pink tulip.

Agreed. With said statment above. I'm p3anut and I approve this message.

I just finished watcing the speach. She did do a lot of bashing. But that's politics. Right after I watched O'AFRICAN AMERICANS response to it and he was claiming that they had no plan of action and were unprepared. From Palin's speach I clearly picked out the energy demand and break from forigen oil. Saving citizens fuel costs and price of everyting. In doing so giving more jobs for people. All I hear from O'AFRICAN AMERICAN is he is gonna change something. But never has said clearly what it's gonna be.

Everything she said about oil has already been said by McCain. I'm watching McCain's speech right now and it's a lot better.

OMG, One, try adding many 0s to that. And you seem to be oblivious as to which party advocates thier "anti-war" message and gives them a voice versus which party gave them the right to have that voice. WOW!

http://www.fightbacknews.org/2008/01/rncpermit.htm

The grounds of the state capitol are the only realistic staging area in downtown Saint Paul for the tens of thousands that are expected to join the march to the Xcel Center Sept. 1. Protest organizers are continuing to meet with Saint Paul city officials to press their demand for the permit to march to the site of the RNC.

“Obtaining the permits for the capitol complex is an important first step,” states Deb Konechne, of the Coalition to march on the RNC and Stop the War. “We intend to take our anti-war message to the RNC and we insist that Saint Paul city government give us the permits now. People are coming, we need to prepare and we will not wait until the last minute to get this settled.”

I am under 45 years old,

I love the outdoors,

I hunt,

I am a Republican reformer,

I have taken on the Republican establishment.

I have several children,

I am the Vice Presidental nominee,

With less than two years in the Governor's office.

Who am I?

Did you guess?

I am TEDDY ROOSEVELT 1901

/SHOCKER!

Golly, Durango, that sounds awfully a lot like Sarah Palin, the Vice Presidential nominee for the Republican party. Except that TR busted oil trusts, whereas Sarah Palin is actually supporting them. And Teddy Roosevelt didn't insult his opponent at the RNC. Teddy also sanctioned and preserved the wildlife, but Palin wants to put holes in them, apparently using your "F*CK the caribou" policy. Sarah Palin and Teddy Roosevelt are almost the same person, except that Teddy showed personal values of honor and respect.
