It's that dumb anti-hacking script that's installed on nuke. It'd probably be useful if it didn't cause so many goddamn false-positives.
Oh, BTW, it bans from within Apache, so only people with cPanel access will be able to unban him (I imagine only Corpse and whoever is the webmaster now). |

Yeah, the Crayola issue is fixed, but the sentinel still doesn't like when people try to embed streaming, active items, or embedded outside links into their posts.
I know the sentinel script seems like an inaccurate peice of shit sometimes, but that's mainly because you guys dont see the success stories. The ratio of accidental bans vs. legit bans is huge. So far this morning there have been 17 attempted attacks from assorted addresses in Europe. The filter text file there's trying to use is at http://party4you.ch/new/id.txt 84 attempted script attacks in January. Only 2 legitimate users banned by accident. One of those users was Apok, so that really doesn't count since he's Canadian and all. With that in mind, the sentinel does it's job quite well. In fact, while I've been typing this, two more attempts have been reported and blocked. There are a lot of wide open nuke sites out there, and with a little bit of know-how a person can hack a nuke site and harvest emal addresses or completely take over the site (happened to us last year). File this under the catagory of necessary evil. Besides, was anyone really THAT upset that Apok or qwned was banned? ;-) I'm just kidding! lol _________________  |
