 Metallica still rocks!
I saw Metallica with Godsmack last night at the Pensacola Civic center and the concert rocked! Godsmack i thought did i really good set list and i dont like Godsmack that much they played for about 1 hr. Then the Mighty Metallica came on about 8:30 the first song they played was Battery off of the Master of Puppets album. The sound was really good the whole setlist for Metallica was great even though they did play something off of St. Anger which sounded ok it actually had a guitar solo  They played about 2 hrs with break in between. They played one of my favorite songs The Call of Ktulu which is a instrumental off the Ride the Lightning album. This will be the second time I have seen Metallica and i hope they come back to Pensacola. Its been 14 yrs since they played there I saw them in 1989 in Charlotte NC. Anyway if any of you guys wanna see a great Metal band Metallica will not disappoint.

Yeah Metallica does kick ass. They came down here sometime last year. I think it was last year. But I wasn't able to go. Sucked I didn't have the money and also I'm pretty sure it sold out.

I like Metallica alot but, albums have kinda dropped of the "great" spectrum.

Yeah Metallica's older albums are so much better than their new stuff. I don't even like listening to their new stuff because it's so different than their older great songs and albums.

Bleeding Me (load)
Outlaw Torn (load)

Yeah I know some of their stuff still sounds good. But I mean in my opinion their older albums had better and more songs that are good on them. I mean of course they are still going to have some good ones.

Dude...Load and Reload are both great albums. In fact, reload is the only album that I can't listen to all the songs on...but I think it's only one song I have to be in the right mood for. Metallica's style has changed a little bit, but personally I think it's matured if anything.

Matured towards the listening ears of a pop corporate culture.
Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets own all their other works...with the exception of Kill Em All.

Nothing is F*CKING "pop culture" about Metallicas new shit. They're a big band. Just because they have music videos on Fuse, MTV, and Vh1 doesn't mean they're "pop culture" now. Just because more "pop culture" faggots like their music now (because of their TV publicity) doesn't mean that they changed their music style for the popculture faggots.
Eff it. You know what? Slayer isn't that good. Yeah. I said it. Bitch.

I'm tired of hearing all these people complain about bands "selling out" and whatnot lol. Metallica kicked ass when they started because their music rawks. Just because their style changed a bit doesn't make them suhk all of a sudden. St. Anger is a badass cd. Does it sound exactly like Metallica did in the days of the Black album? No. Does it still kick ass? F*CK yes it does, so sux me.

Black Album still sucked. Anything from the Black Album and up just F*CKING sucks. Im a metal head. In my eyes they lost the EDGE of Metal after And Justice For All.. I love the F*CKING hell out of old Metallica. Dont get me wrong. Even as far back when Dave Mustaine from Megadeth was in, but the new shit too me just isnt as good.

rgr that, Live.
Justice for all was the beginning of the end. They tried to make each tune an epic on that one. Some were actually boring.
After that, they became sell-outs. They have some cool riffs sometimes, and a cool tune now and then, but it's not like the old days.
The first albums they put out were FILLED with great tunes. You could listen to the whole CD without skipping ANYTHING. Every tune kicked ass. Now you have to go fishing through 12 shitty, half-assed, fake metal tunes to find 2 actual gems.
