 Volunteers Wanted
I am of the opinion that part of the problems with the last tourney was that we were understaffed at the last part. At this point, it looks as though the overall opinion is that the tournament went fairly well. I am still of the opinion that it could have gone quite a bit better. So here goes......
We're gonna do it again!!
I am now calling for people who wish to help out with the next tourney....
If you wish to help out....Please sign up below....
EDIT
update....anyone who is on this committee will not be able to play in the tourney...

Submit any ideas/suggestions to the two Senior Tourney admins, Greenman and myself. Like the title? I just made it up.
Edit: Committee applying isn't closed. Spoke without consulting the other Senior Tourney admin. Sorry bout that, Greeny. ;-)

We should set it up like CAL, 15 rounds each side and execute cal.cfg to turn FF on, fix the spectator problem after someone dies and set the round timer to around 1:45 per round (the rounds were too long in the tourney).

We might do something more like that.
The problem is, we want the tourney to hold true to it's heritage, and not sell out completely to CAL or OGL configs, but we'll have our own rules, and our own way of life.
If the staffing is adequate, we'll fire-up both servers and have this baby running double time.
We do that and have it spread over two days time. The second day could just be on one server after the main matches are over and it's just the semi-final and final matches.

There are useful addons to adminmod that make running matches easier.
I'll be looking at some of those over the next couple of weeks to find some helpful ones. Maybe I can find an automated IRC data feeder too. I think some of our problems changing maps might have been the connection between the server and the IRC bot.
I gotta say though, that IRC bot rocks ass. That was way too cool to sit and watch the kills and the bitchin...er... talking

Nah dude...I fucked up earlier. We're still interested in knowing who's interested so continue to let us know of your interest in participating as a tourney admin by posting in this interesting thread and using the word interesting somewhere in your thread. That'll make it easier for us not to lose interest while reading and for us to be able to keep track of who's interested and who's not interested.

ok enough.....this is the "I want to help out with the next one" thread......not the planning and dicisions thread......
Now that I've said that.......
for the next tourney there are a couple of rules already....
Rule #1
No bitching about the rules!
Rule #2
Any player who accuses another player of hacking, cheating, or any other incinuation of that general sort, will be slayed upon spawn for 10 rounds, llamafied, and made to glow a pretty Pink color afterwards.

it will be the admins responsability to identify the hackers....if any....and their responsability to deal with them....not the other players

Being a HOMOSEXUAL AFRICAN AMERICAN is ok....as long as you don't use the words hacker...cheater or anything else like that
