Zone Alarm
I have zone alarm for a firewall but I was wondering if they had a good virus protection or if it is just crap? Also if avg has a good firewall or not?

As far as I know AVG does not have a firewall.. It's purely anti-virus.
And Zone Alarm I think is just a firewall, not virus protection. If I were you I would use both. I personally use Windows Firewall with AVG.

If you've got a NAT'd router, you generally don't need a software-on-your-computer firewall if you can go in and turn off upnp requests and block multicast.
