K, me and parsi determined we'd play just us 2 against the teams.

Well make sure you guys know it will be a CZ tournament not 1.6. I know Parsi doesn't play CZ

Here is my vote....
6 teams (red/blue/yellow/purple/orange/and the best green!)
5 players per team
2 judges/admins (Corpse and Gman would prolly be best, unless you plan to play)
that leaves room for 8 people to spectate
once all teams have players we set a date
3 maps (best two out of three, team score)
20 min maps

My personal opinion would say that wouldn't be kewl.....Biased Judgment.....but thats just me.....not my tourny....I was just making suggestions on how to run it......



We used to run them monthly on Gamedomainllc.com......B4 they got shut down

I didn't enjoy the last tournament at all. It was miserable. Players popped in and out, people couldn't get their shit together, and teams were extremely lop-sided in many cases.

We had a 3v3 tourney and we had about 20 teams of 2 people each looking for a third person. I spent entirely too much time on it. I couldn't have a single conversation with my wife the whole night because it require absolutely CONSTANT attention.

All that work, and it was a complete and utter failure of mammoth proportions. I choose to NOT be in command of the next one.

I nominate Greenman to be the chairman of the tournament commitee. Sounds like he has experience in this area. Greenman, recruit your volunteers in a back-door draft fashion to create a tournament commitee that can discuss and organize the event(s). If it's successful, you're welcome to hold them on a regular basis.

I have requirements that need to be known up-front... I want balanced teams, and it's to be played by standard server rules. Yes, that means no AWPS, no FF, etc.

I don't want the same group of leet players to be the ones the humiliate and dominate the tourney every time it's played. That makes the tournament fun for them, but it sucks ass for everybody else. I still think that anyone who wants to play should toss their name in the hat, and teams should be generated based on skills (one super player, two medium players, and two sucky ones) or something balanced like that. At least everyone would have a chance. Otherwise we'll have two uber-teams and everyone else will be sucking ass.

Corpse just do OGL Standard regulations for your match.

1. 5 vs 5
2. Pick a map and have both sides agree. If both sides dont then you choose the map.
3. Have your server set to fade to black for the match
4. All players meet at one point for the start.
5. Reset the round 3 times and on the 3rd time start the match
6. 1 team CT, 1 Team T. The first to win 10 rounds and switch out the team. Switching out the team being the CT are now T and the T are now CT for the second round.
7. Tally up wins per team both times and thats your winner.

You can choose to keep FF on and your weapon restrictions. Bomb maps are preferred for Tourneys but hostage maps work alright.

The rules of the tourney are simple enough. It's getting people's teams together and getting them evenly matched and more importantly... getting them to show-up on time!

We also had some issues with people that took 3-4 minutes to connect to the server, then they would lose their connection and people would want to pause the match, people would have teammates not show-up, but nobody else would want to break from their 2 person team for join another team, it was a complete clusterfuck.

You guys get a tournament group together to organize it. I'll provide the match server and everyone can gather and organize in the #corpsehumper IRC channel during the tournament (that part actually worked out ok).

I might play, but only if I can use my rcon powers to abuse the other team and cheat my way to victory. Some people say victory is hollow if you cheat your way there. You know what I say?
